They haven’t been great last 2 expansions to begin with, except for the retri. And priest despite being always great getting buffed again. Also, I just wonder, nerfing dk will make it useless again as a class, stop trying to balance stuff just to make it worse, make classes powerful, all of them, or where is the fun of playing if the class you like will struggle. Where is the fun in playing if you can’t get almost crazy powerful, this is a game after all for everyone, not just a few I suppose.
this is the cycle of life. In future retri will shine again and other will be neglected.
Hmm, not fun at all.
eh… yes… but unfortunately it was always in this way… and i guess it will never change.
Speaking of always, during Legion, the paladin was arguably the best healer, as this expansion is going to be a recycled Legion why not repeat the pattern, after all, paladins got neglected for so long, as tanks and healers.
Simple. Because throughout Dragonflight, Ret had too much of everything. You cant just give a class plate armor, Immunities, CC, Utility galore, decent off heals, battlerez AND be also one of higher DPS.
It is just too much. But I have a gripe with RET specifically, so take what I said with a grain of salt.
Because they’re not allowed to have fun since they’re meant to be middle of the pack !
Retry, for 1 expansion! What about protection and holy, or they shouldn’t be having fun!?
i think prot is rly strong as it is no? cc/dmg immunity, angel of protection or w/e that spell is called
I agree with you there. I dont follow anything that is tank or healers. So I can´t really speak on those.
We get good then we get nerfed. We’re not mages or rogues so we gotta suffer
The only advantage prot had was standing in his consecration and it is getting nerfed, reduced durations of protection etc., this is too much for already the weakest tank after druid maybe, bare in mind, especially in M dungeons staying in consecration is a challenge. DH is getting nerfed as well, somewhat deserved, but in mho way too much.
if something is played a lot more than the rest then its maybe too good, i dont disagree with the nerfs
Never played rogue, mages aren’t always good, locks are, but I haven’t seen evoker getting nerfed or priest… I might be wrong but why nerf anyways, why not buff all, so no matter what you play to feel powerful, as I said it is just a game and should be fun. If something is played more than the rest means the game isn’t balanced anyway so why then nerf everything else?
i speak only for dh, as far as im aware it was the number 1 tank in s3/4 ? theyshould have gut it very early on so ppl dont look down on me as a dh abuser
I recall paladins having plenty of screentime over the past expansions.
Holy was the king of raids for the second half of BFA, and I remember them being very good in dungeons as well.
They were one of the strongest damage dealing healers in raids along with respectable healing output in SL, atleast the first two tiers.
Prot was one of the best tanks in S1 of DF because they had C-res, had good damage and survivability, and was also functioning as a pseudo-healer at the same time. An all in one package.
A single paladin is already kind of required in raids, which is usually Holy spec due to Aura Mastery’s damage reduction.
I think it is only Retribution that did not have their own time to shine until the rework in S2. It is extremely rare that Protection paladins are bad (I can’t recall it happening) and this is likely the first expansion where Holy wasn’t feeling that good to play (beside S1 of BFA).
Exactly, means not balanced, why bother nerfing every other class in the name of some imaginary balance, just leave all classes be, make them feel good, not look good on paper.
also afaik they nerfed every other tank supposedly to make healers be more useful other than healing the tank all game? thats what ppl said
When there is 1 tank (DH) that dominates every gameplay for far too long and then paladins being “not bad” is kind of a joke. When we talk balance it should means balance, no class much better than others, but this was never the case in wow. There has always been one class to dominate others, why? Can’t it simply be fun for all? I don’t really care that much, I play almost every class except rogue and warrior but it feels unfair.
Resto druid is top dog in all content and its priest buffs you have an issue with?
Holy paly didn’t deserve those nerfs though imo.
