Why RTX support?

The game engine is simply too old for this type of upgrade.

And majority of players probably cant afford such tech, this was probably one of the reason the game got most players that it could be played on a potato computer!

I am probably going for Radeons again next, i simply wont buy components that cost me my monthly rent, or more even. I bought me last year new GTX 1650, i will Rock this one to the end!

Blizz made too many chances with the latest patch, and this has become unplayable. If this gets fixed before summer, i might still hang around a lil while longer, but i am guessing this kind of stuff is what will kill the game.

You just cant keep painting wooden house forever.

I might see what Diablo 4 looks like if it ever happens.

It’s very modern DX12 game engine if you didn’t notice. You can’t have DXR without using DX12.

Using DXR is optional. Aside of implementing DXR it somewhat enforces that the game uses a good DX12 implementation which then helps modern iGPU and low tier dGPU to work more efficiently.

And GTX 1650 will benefit from DX12 improvements made to the game engine. If the add Variable Rate Shading which was/is in the works since SL alpha then your FPS should also increase.

9.0.5 introduced a bug/regression that causes FPS drops to many players, it’s not a feature.

If the add Variable Rate Shading which was/is in the works since SL alpha then your FPS should also increase.

I think they did activate VRS with the patch 9.0.5 thus the “pixelation” of textures and shaders when “target FPS” was activated.
Seems like a very bad implementation though, maybe that is why they “fixed” it to be off again?

Hm… this should be tested in that WQ race in Revendreth IMHO VRS should be a toggle not always on as VRS isn’t that universal.

Can we get mesh shaders for 10.0?

WoW isnt a native DX12 game, its simply slapped on their own engine. They can also add vulkan, wont be good.

WoW needs an entirely new engine, preferably unreal engine 5.

Unreal Engine looks good but if they gonna switch engines then Snowdrop, Frostbite or Cryengine they would all get my vote
