Why should i go to Wowhead to see active worldbosses

Tere are several world boss dragon as a pre patch event. But Zero info about them i game. I think it is not a good design, when i should resort to wowhead or other 3rd party source to know, where they are or even to know about their existance.

Is it only me?

I have no idea what information will be in game about them, our reset is tomorrow.

3-4 different event zones…
they will have the same boss spawning every time.

meaning you finish one zone, go to next and so on

No, the dragon world bosses rotate once per day, 2 in Kalimdor and 2 in Eastern Kingdoms, and there is no way in-game to know which one is available if you have already completed the weekly quest.

we don’t talk about the anniversary bosses tho

Or at least I don’t think OP is talking about them, as they mentioned Pre-patch events.

I am confused.
There is no pre-patch event world boss, at least not yet. The only dragon world bosses are from the anniversary. Phase 2 starts tomorrow. Unless he is talking from world bosses in Beta/PTR.

guessing the meaning is the dragons of nightmare bosses. a new 1 of 4 each day in 1 of four locations - 2 locations on each contient and you have to find out where outside of the game because there isn’t anything in game which tells you which location it is on the day.

Yes, there are five. Azuregos in Azshara, and one of the dragons of Nightmare (Emeriss in Duskwood, Lethon in Hinterlands, Taerar in Ashenvale, or Ysondre in Feralas).

No, they are part of the Anniversary world event.
Although the anniversary is Wow’s birthday party and we get a new expansion each second year, thus each second year we get pre-patches and expansion releases during the Anniversary event, those are two separate events.

That is right, there are no obvious way to know which Dragon of Nightmare is up eah day without checking their location or asking other players.

A tip though: The Dragon of Nightmare that is up for the day will always have player-made custom groups in the group finder. So whether of the dragons that have groups created for them are the one that is up for the day.

Its not just this, there is tons of stuff in game where u dont know something then u have to use wowhead or whatever else .

But for such things as those it doesnt realy matter imho, and if they wanted to cover everything in game it will be bloated .

Also for those of you hunting dragons without knowing their rotation, just open custom groups and type their names one by one, one with created groups is one thats active for today.

I just track the quest and it shows me where to go to kill the boss.
Cant you just do that?

That doesn’t applies if one wants to keep killing the bosses daily after completing this weekly quest.

Open map/quest log. Look at the zones where the dragons spawn. Whichever area has the quest circle around it? There’s your answer.

i mean op you can easily remove where the dream dragon will not be simply by knowing where they was the other day

they could have easily put what they drop in the adventurer journal too

Given even Blizzards own support pages suggest and link to Wowhead it should be no surprise that all the knowledge that should be available as an ingame part of WoW has been outsourced to Wowhead as well.
