Because there is no good options out there, hell before they made classic i spent 8 years on private servers, so yeah people leave when its bad and they got options to do so, just that right now its no tbc or vanilla private servers because blizz made them, but at the same time blizz servers got more buggs than the private ones had atm AND blizz got cash shops wich most private servers didnt even have haha
So your comment is invalid, people do leave when its bad, but they need a 2nd option to go to for it, like new world or ashes of creation wich comes out soon.
Not to mention the “if you dont like it leave” comment is BS in it self, if people played and payed for a game it should be up to the standards of the buyers to and the majority dont like the shops added to the game.

Of course Blizzard have started shutting down Pirate Servers, there are very few businesses that allow their IP to be used for free by others for commercial gain. If I owned the IP I wouldn’t either.
Well you mentioned Ashes of Creation here, I have an account there, have you seen their cash shop? it’s one of the most egregious I’ve seen.
$500 to access the Alpha with the following thrown in
- 11 months of game time ($165 value)
- $150 in Embers in-game marketplace credits, they say NO P2W! (Well by the definitions usually used here it would be)
- Steelreef Pauldron (Accessory Cosmetic Skin)
- Geyser Glider (Pet Cosmetic Skin)
- Maelstrom’s Crown (Mount Cosmetic Skin)
- Mail of the Fathom’s Fury (Costume Cosmetic Skin)
- Coral Courser (Naval Cosmetic Skin)
- Boundless Basin (Freehold Building Cosmetic Skin)
And every month, even before the game comes out there are new cosmetics and mounts to buy.

It’s not the boost, it’s the 30£ mount you gave to blizz to work towards in game shop.

It isnt blizzard thats paying us, its we who pay blizzard for gaming experiences we want, you seem to forget this and attack players who complain about ingame things wich they pay for, if they pay for the game they got the right to complain about flaws to.

I actively support people leaving a game they dislike for one they do, but arguing that theres no longer any pirated versions of the game to play seems a little silly to me.
But I’m happy with the service I’m provided at the price point it’s offered at. Otherwise I wouldn’t be here, I certainly wouldn’t be hating players in game or trying to belittle people in an online forum. Sure complain about bugs and flaws, have an opinion on the monetisation that’s all fine. When you’re ruining the gaming experiences of others though because you’re salty about what a company has decided to do with their own IP and when your opinion is against the financial best interests of the company it’s likely time to move along. Good luck finding an MMO with no cash shop now though.

A lot of people dislike boosters because they have infected our battlegrounds like the plague. Most of them are retail players who came back because they can throw cash at Blizzard and get a max level character with a lizard mount. The majority are far below average at the game, and are not far from AFKers in terms of contribution.
I for one really hope 9.1 arrives soon, or that Blizzard can implement a booster only BG bracket.
