Why Tauren cant be mages?

I’m not that much into lore and while I heard of that arcane-foundation: I didn’t follow through on it so help me here. Are you saying that all mages are kinda “a bit evil”?

Not that they are evil, but it still takes a certain mindset to be a mage. The tendency to collect knowledge, to study the Arcane and to wield magic without any sort of spiritual connection need to be there. That does not fit the Tauren people’s nomadic and spiritual nature.

That aside, there’s the old piece of lore about the Laws of Arcane which states that Arcana is addictive, can corrupt, and it can draw demons towards its wielders.

Those are both negatives anyway. It’s like they’re either reckless mad scientists or evil.

Being Mages just doesn’t seem to fit with the whole idea of Tauren, as a group of religious, nature-loving nomads.

Beyond the fact that they’re in the Horde with Mages of other races, there’s nothing else, historically or otherwise, that really links them with the use of arcane magic.

The only connection they have is Druid Lunar spells, some of which are classified as arcane damage but that’s more for game mechanics than anything else.

OK so if Arcane is so dubious, why is the class in total portrayed so visually bright?

Yes; after I wrote that I realized it’s pretty much spot on. The entire thing of the class is to be a crook1111!111 (or rather illusionist).

Orc can be mage (orc dumb as table)
Troll can be mage (trolls are little smarter but have 3 fingers - bad for reading books)
Worgen can be mage! (even in beast form lol how?)
and etc.

Don’t worry, Soon Activision will decide to end racism inside WoW and will allow any race to be anyone because everyone can be anyone in today’s world and we have to break barriers and introduce equity. Soon goblin paladins and tauren rogues will happen. Just let them finish the anti-sexual harrassment thing they have going on now.
