Imagine a game where one faction gets both races with additional performance racials… Oh wait!
Blame Blizzard design, not me for choosing long before what the optimal race would be for the class I enjoy and like.
All guilds who could find a UDK rerollers did so. And with Ulduar coming more people would reroll seeing this broken spec with their pets not having GCD.
We are NOT all rerollers, I personally wanted to play UH long before everybody started stacking them. Just go watch logs and see. We are not flavor of the month rerollers, we just love the spec and the mechanics behind it. If this nerf happened before launch I would be fine with it. I would have gone orc and play frost DK instead. Now I can not even do that cause troll sucks for frost. They should AT LEAST give a free race change to DKs after that nerf… Its not like they just nerfed the damage, they nerfed what was fun about it.
I don’t remember army being used on every pull in original Wrath. Stop your power creep nonsense demands.
I mean the same change that happened to ALL other specs exept these few ones. Stop being a smartass, cds were already not resetting in original Wrath. I just want a fair treatment for all classes and specs across the board.
Maybe we would see additional nerfs, or maybe the backlash from nerfs will stop em doing that before phase 4. And after phase 4 it won’t matter.
Well according to Blizzard devs gargoyle scales far better than all classes, I wanna see them nerf warriors and mages when they scale far better in ICC with arm pen and critical strike.
It’s incredible they decided to implement a nerf with those bulls*** reasons and won’t buff ret. Especially when they cited their reasons for ret being dogeggs as ’ In general, we feel that Paladins are in an exceptionally strong position as a class and see no reason for any major changes at this time. So this applies to strong classes but not weak ones? The reason DK is overused is a, because it does big damage and b, because rets are so bad, they have basically all rerolled to uh.

If they go ahead and finilize this change into the game they should at LEAST give dks a free race change so we can go orc and frost if we want… still gear would be kinda meh but thats a minimal damage.
Didn’t some of you guys kept telling Warriors and Ret Paladins to suck it up and either reroll to DK or repsec to the “working spec”? So how about you take your own advice?
The difference is that warriors and rets knew before hand what they are signing up for. Me and other DKs signed up for A and got B instead. Warriors will scale crazy with armpen gear and rets need t10 to shine.
I really don’t know why all FoTM DK-s surprised now.
It was a known fact since the beginning that gargoyle was not even close how it was working in OG Wotlk (minimum cast time, attack starts before it lands, etc), and this single spell made such a huge difference, and got abused to the extremes in PVE and in PVP too.
If you build your character around a bug then, you should have excepted that it might get nerfed in the future… and also you should be happy instead that you got only a nerf and not the original gargoyle mechanics.
I do agree with u that blizzard should have fixed that at the start of the expansion, but its better late then never.
First of all just because some people play whatever spec is strong each time doesnt mean we are all flavor of the month players. I just like the DK class, that what I played back in wrath thats what I wanted to play now.
And no it was not a know fact, maybe people who theorycraft etc knew about this but I did not, and I am a personally a very experienced player. I just signed up for the pre patch, saw how mechanics work, and decided to play unholy as troll instead of frost as orc.
Now blizzard 1-2 weeks before Ulduar launches messes up with us. This is totally unfair, and the worst part is all the arguments are invalid. If you got and see statistics and have a basic understanding of how scalling will work later on, you will see all their comments on the post about this nerf are invalid, its ridiculous.
Please correct me, but the changes blizzard made says that they are nerfing gargoyles and not deleting death knight as a class. You can still play it, it just wont be powercreep compared to other classes. If that makes you not want to play death knights then you are really a FoTM player.

Welcome to the club, every class has something which makes them weaker than it should be.
We are forced to play the weaker spec in the wrong race now. The only thing that can remedy this huge nerf is to give us a free race change so we can at least play optimally the other dk dps spec…
We are not FOTM rerollers, we just chose the class that was currently most OP, combined it with race that was the best pick for it to make it even more op, but we all did it only because we love to play this class and its our most favourite class …
Now that blizz partially fixed this class, not even nerfed it, or made it completely unplayable, just slight slap on wrist, its suddenly not our most favourite class and I want free race change because this race is suddenly not my favourite either anymore …
Sheesh what a coincidence … people are really toxic, why cant someone simply like broken stuff without being judged …
