Why the hell the DK nerf mid expansion?

You found out NOW that gargoyle scales with haste? Was it so hard to calculate it before launch based on the loot drops? Its not like you dint know what item procs exist.

This is a ridiculous change. All of us signed up, spent time leveling, gearing around the spec we loved and enjoyed.

Now troll is not gonna be the best race for UH dk. We can not even reroll to orc and even if there were race changes it would be a total d**** move to make us pay for a race change when we signed up for something different.

Just because naxx is easy as hell and a couple of guilds stack dks and kill bosses in 30 seconds doesnt mean all guilds do that.

In ulduar PTR boss kills dks were not even top dps. Locks were dominating.

Blizzard stupidity never ceases to amaze me.

Instead of fixing army cd, fire ele totem cd to be on par with other classes you decide to nerf ONE spell for one class.

I am curious to see if you are going to show that much zealoys when affli locks are gonna be miles ahead, and later on when fury warriors and fire mages will dominate the dps and scale like crazy.

Fury warriors are currently garbage and they’ve been nerfed twice.

Play what you enjoy, compare yourself to people of the same spec, be happy that you aren’t as reliant on RNG haste procs anymore. Unholy still scales really well late game. Every raid still needs at least one unholy DK anyways, you are guaranteed a raid spot unlike most other specs

So what do we do in a guild when there is 3 frost dk mains already and then 3unholy dks mains that are gonna become basically useless ? :smiley: , Dont get me wrong frost dk is good aswell but its definitely not 5 players playing frost dk good

The nerf + the long fights in Ulduar are just gonna nerf unholy to the ground

Nerfing the Garg was one of the only few changes they’ve made which isn’t room temp IQ.

I’m really not happy with the changes either, blizzard should’ve kept going until UH DKs were on par with ret paladins. They didn’t do enough in my opinion :laughing:

It’s a major change and low IQ people are cheering instead of realising that this is bad news. Nothing stops Blizzard from randomly nerfing or buffing classes now. For people who wanted as close an experience to WOTLK, this should be worrying.

Gargoyle worked exactly like it did pre-nerf back in WOTLK. This change is a Cata change and that’s bad.

This is from GODS ZOGGED 5!!!3!!!0!! patch, thats pandaria you muppet, before that they had normal 1-1,5 sec delay between casts and UH dk was like half the tab below frost in DPS …

Gargoyle snapshot was a thing in real WOTLK and didn’t have a haste cap. Is that slow enough for you or shall I use crayons?

If this was original wotlk Unholy would be destroying meters AND Arena until ICC when they changed Scourged Strike.

Morb literally only exists because we’re using 3.3.5 mechanics in 3.0. Scourge Strike used to hit like a truck back then, it doesn’t now because they changed it in the ICC Patch. So your argument is trash ( same as your parses I imagine ).

Yes, you could have 867417431431 haste making gargoyle strike instant … and then your garg would sit there for 1second doing nothing after each attack …

Also yes, I know we have 335 changes, and I think its dumb as hell … but hey what do I know, I have been called wotlk tourist since TBCC, when I tried telling people that blizz making random stupid changes to the game is going to bite us all in the butt xD

In case you havent noticed they already did this to warriors near the start when they fixed fiery weapon and subsequently said they wouldnt want to fix our lost 5-10% dps to DW munching.

Warriors have suffered more than any class in wrath to nerfs and balance changes.

This change will affect Unholy a lot, but it wont make it scrub tier like warriors were. So i think you will be more than fine.

Gargoyle had a GCD 1S cast cap, it also couldnt attack before landing on the ground. So not really sure why you are saying this. ATM blizz confirms DK can get 0.35s cast times on garg, when in wrath it was capped at 1.0 (thats 3x the dmg right there). Add that on top the seconds lost flying down to land and then start dpsing.

Doubt. Gargoyle snapshotting was always a thing. If what you say is true, then haste was irrelevant.

Maybe they change their mind on the WG stance they have. So now there is actually hope for later phases.

Garry did not work like it used to in Wrath vanilla. In Wrath vanilla it had to actually land before it did damage and could not attack while moving and it had a cap on castingspeed (1s).

Imagine a game where one faction gets both races with additional performance racials… Oh wait!

All guilds who could find a UDK rerollers did so. And with Ulduar coming more people would reroll seeing this broken spec with their pets not having GCD.

I don’t remember army being used on every pull in original Wrath. Stop your power creep nonsense demands.

Maybe we would see additional nerfs, or maybe the backlash from nerfs will stop em doing that before phase 4. And after phase 4 it won’t matter.

If FDKs would still be better than fury/arms warriors and definitely ret paladins, and they will, what is the difference between stacking UDKs and FDKs? You would have at least a half of a year of Ulduar to gear up your orc fury warrior or troll fire mage alt to start pumping in phase 4

Fury Warriors suck until the end of ICC and who cares by then anymore?!
Firemages got ignite munch eating 30% of their crit away and Blizzard said they aren’t gonna touch that bug cuz it’s too complicated to fix… so yeah. A nerf always sucks for the people enjoying the broken game mechanic beforehand but honestly everyone saw that coming and UHDKs will still be topping meters

If you have more than 25 ppl in the signups maybe you can stop giving those 3 uh dk prio on spots and let them sit out a raid so other ppl can get a chance?

Because gargoyle behaviour wasn’t consistent with origonal WOTLK, and it was game breaking enough to cause people to stack them
