Could be because the scrollbar feature is on? It probably takes that into account when calculating its size. The other skillbars don’t have that extra feature.

a lot of people on these games are annoyingly OCD like that on such things…
i will purposely misalign my UI and post it here just to trigger them.

Well, OP put in the title “why the new UI is objectively bad designed” but said “my action bar 1 has 2-3 pixels bigger icons” instead of something actually objectively bad designed, like no XP bar that can be moved or options to scale the map down, etc.
Sorry, if I don’t take OP seriously for making a big fuss over a few pixels.
I mean, its nice that this does not bother you, but it is still bad design.
If you have two things that are supposed to be the same size and they are not, than its poorly manufactured, no matter if its bothering you or not

My bars are all lined 
Bartender/Dominos are just better and more straight to the point to use. The Blizzard UI is alright, but the editor feels so overdesigned
Instead of adding this wonky snapping feature for example, why didn’t they just add a feature to allow you to move each action bar into a matrice of action bars as a single block and just set the relations there wich are inherited by every bar you move into it? Who knows
The only thing the ui really needs is just a classic mode that is identical to the old UI
Lets be real if you already used a addon for your UI you’re likely still using it and this change isn’t for you and if you didn’t use a UI addon you were probably pretty statisfied with the default one, or atleast it didn’t annoy you enough to get an addon for it.
As an addon ui man my transition has been smooth as butter.
There is no reason to not have the option to make the same size.
Your average addon (unpaid people who do it for free) can do this, bit embarassing wows ui doesn’t let you customize the exact pixel height and width of every button.

The Chat Bar is awesome. Im not OCD but the Bars are not same size at all. American Education - just randomize everything.
