I feel like the length between phases are not long enough. Phase 5 will be active less than 2 months before phase 6 is released. We´ve just made the first full rotation on the weekly aspect and AQ will release before another one…
I raid BWL every week and still need gear from the raid, it would be nice to get my T2 and have some time to actually play with it before the next phase releases. Just another seasonal grind I guess…
Why the rush? Let us enjoy the game and the gear that we work for, don´t make it irrelevant too quickly…
Season of discovery, season. Season by blizzard term is 1 year. Which is ending soon. Your gear and runes will be permanently removed (or left on a dead server) in a few months. Have fun.
It’s a season and every season will end.
Catchup mechanics exist to make things faster which gives players enough time to test things with one or more classes.
phase 1 and 2 - steady pace of patches.
phase 3 - LITERALLY A DROUT.
phase 4 - short.
phase 5 - shorter.
back when the phase 3 drout was happening and everyone started quitting, they used the excuse that they wanted to give cata “time to breathe” as the reasoning for it… and now they are rushing phases out to meet their 1 year deadline.
HMMM I WONDER IF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IN SOME WAY.
There is a risk whit going to slow so people just raidlog. This is also a seasonel server so maby they got a timeline to follow, becous we dont know whats upp next.
Maby they just redo the first 3 vanilla, TBC and Wotlk or maby classic + is the next step who knows.
Fresh. Probably prepared half of content beforehand.
Most likely competed with Cataclysm Classic development time. Cata was never finished on release anyway. The most bugs I’ve witnessed in 19 years of playing WoW.
Because of draught interest is falling down. TWW and Cata releases. Also fresh belivers are gone. Classic devs in panic rush mode. Probably on TBC SoD and MoP Classic internal testing. So most likely no new raids or they remake Kharazhan for levels 65 adding Kharazhan cryots just for meme sake.
that’s what gets me tho.
cata WAS a finished product.
we’ve played it before, you know.
all they had to do was make few adjustments (if any) and just release it, as is.
apparently that was a challenge the devs struggled with, and as a result (combined with wanting to give it extra breathing room at the cost of SOD development) it drove SOD to the brink of death.
unironically, the game has never been as absolutely empty as it was in phase 3.
the bot farmers were having a field day with all the freely available herb/mining nodes + the lack of players around to report them, thus avoiding bans for about 4 months straight.
well the hope is that they will eventually start adding brand new content once the basic vanilla content (upcoming AQ and Naxx) has been exhausted.
that would represent the “plus” in “classic+”.
so far, they got some things right and they got other things wrong.
new BFD, Gnomer and ST raids were nice, but what people really want is something brand new, and not just revamped things to fit a 10/20 man raid setting.
Oh yeah, for sure for sure. The 15 seconds they spent on SoD during Blizzards “We are Too Cheap to do Blizzcon” Event really put my mind at ease. Quite promising stuff no doubt !
