Why War Within is more expensive for Turkey?

Since there is not much to do until new expansion I decided to farm some gold and make the cost a bit less by buying wow tokens and adding them to my blizzard balance. But…

Apperantly wow tokens only add around 200 TL to your balance while it is 13 € for EU players. The epic edition costs us 2300TL and it is 83€ for EU I think.

So, while EU players can buy the expansion with 7x wow-tokens, Turkish players have to spend 12 wow-tokens. Why?

First of all, you’re wrong, if you think 83€=2300 TL, you must think 1€=27,71 TL, which is dead wrong. 2300TL is around 67€.
Also it’s barely 5,76 € for Turkey (200TL) for a month’s game time.
Get your facts straight.

Because your gametime pricing is far cheaper than what we pay in Europe.

Deal with it!

Also OP, I recommend you go here: Price Update on Subscription Options, Game Time, and more for World of Warcraft® in Ukraine and Turkey [Updated Jun 12]

He got the exchange rates dead wrong mate. It’ll be a while before he comes back to his senses. Also, Turkey’s economy is 6 feet under the ground atm, 13€ maybe is your snack money, but here people almost buy 3-4 days’ worth of grocery with 13€ if they don’t live in metropolitans. That’s why they try to make the pricing so we can buy games/game times. It’s about purchase power.

It is 89.99 euros .that is around 3127 lira .so other person saying that your exchange rate calculations are wrong is not lying.

So checking the numbers over, with minor differences every day due the fragile Turkish Lira currency it appears everything is correct.

The forum posters and Blizzard is not to blame for your country’s fiscal policy and weak currency situation. I understand you’re venting your frustation but at the wrong people and wrong forums.

I urge you if you’ve concerns to take it to the (local) elections and politicians happening recently in Turkiye, the road to a stable and recovering economy is long and if it works out well, Microsft Blizzard may adjust it as necessary to reflect the purchasing power as required.

Because of your F-tier economy. Seek answers within at local and federal elections. Good luck :+1:

How do you even add real money to buy the game via ingame gold? Literally no clue

The flip side of your sub being cheaper is that you get less bnet balance for your gold.

it should be about local pricing.

for example ;

https://www.oyunfor.com/blizzard-oyunlari/wow-game-card/wow-prepaid-30-days-game-card

this website sells 30 days of gametime for 190 turkish lira which equals to 5€ 46 cents.

So what you get from a wow token is equal to local pricing of turkey’s 1 month gametime.

I mean instead of worrying about such things just leave the country like I did, become a gigachad who spends 1000€+ just on gambling each month for entertainment. I used to farm wow token like you do, working a few days to buy everything wow sells is much more convenient :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You buy a WoW token on the auction house for gold, then collect the token from your ingame mailbox. Rightclick the token in your inventory, and a window will open, in wich you choose wether to add 30 days of gametime or 13eur Battle.net balance.

Wow thank you, not had much to do with these tokens but I’ll perhaps do that to put towards the next expansion
