Wich profession?

Hey all,

Im leveling a rogue now as my new main… I’m on a fresh server, and only want to play on my rogue, since I have kids now, I don’t have the time to keep up with more characters, now the question is, as the title stated ; wich profession will be good for rogue? Also with the eye on dragonflight, I’m leaning towards skinning/lw , but engineering also seems like a lot of fun

What do u guys think?

Ah and btw: the crafted gear from any profession won’t be outleveled quickly like it is now right? At least that’s what I thought I read somewhere lol.

What’s your issue with the letter H?

Anyway, I’m going suggest herbalism because it starts with the letter H.

Lol I’m sorry for any words that don’t make sense, English isn’t my main language :crossed_fingers:t3::man_shrugging:t3:

Don’t rely on crafting gear to your self if DF crafting is devaluing crafts as much as SL professions do.

Your options are:

  • Skinning and Herbalism
  • Skinning and Mining
  • Mining and Engineering.

I always take mining and engineering for the lulz. It feels like it completes my class, engineering has so many fun tools and utility!

From what I know, Engi brings a brez which can be a real boon for M+.

In my only 20, the tank had such an item and ressed me and a dps with it. It turned the fight around for the better!

So I recommend you give it a try. Only reason I don’t do it is because my bars are cluttered as is and can’t keybind anything more to be convenient.

Engineering is a must have, the ability to use wormholes to travel all over the land is absolutely essential for saving time in game.

Pick any gathering or crafting profession to accompany it you wish, there’s no need to pick a thematic companion as resources will be plenty. Personally I would go for Engineering and Enchanting. Enchanting materials always sell well on the auction house and it’ll help you get the most out of the soulbound items you get that you’re not going to use.

You can have gathering profs (mining, herba) for leveling and switch at max level. I usually went for mining and engineering, but recently switched it to leatherworking/blacksmithing and engineering.

Edit: Also, jewelcrafting is nice, because blings, man :gem: They all look awesome in DF tbh, might be the first time I won’t find them to be a tedious old system.

Dont forget the belt from S1 to help tanks… most serious M+ pkayers are engi… often with alchemy for extra flask duration.

Not sure which one it is, can you link it?

Was an engineer only briefly, and even then because I wanted easy AH access without hunting for longboys or visiting Org.

Depends on the content you want to do. Skin/Lw is great for gearing yourself but you won’t be able to craft the raid stuff for yourself, only others, unless you actually raid. I mean the ilevel you can craft is fine for just open world stuff and you’ll get gold from doing it for others but it sucks a bit. Besides, M+ gear will probably over take it. Engineering likely more fun.

Cant remember what it was called, it was some legion attachment that taunted all mobs for 5sec… bliz nerfed the heck out of it for S2.

Think the go to right now is the invis attachment… dimensional shifter or sometuing like that
