From my perspective I really like:
- Forsaken
- Draenei
- Dark Iron Dwarf
Forsaken and Dark Iron both have thematically matching pet types with a nice assortment of undead and fire themed animals, respectively. Personally, I like the animations and transmog options for Forsaken more, but that’s a matter of taste and not objective.
Draenei are a more “boring” option, but I really love the aesthetics of Draenei. So… full bias speaking. They don’t have a huge array of “matching” pets, but you could grab some from Draenor or Argus and it’d be fine. I’d say the animations are nicer than both Forsaken and Dwarf. However, and this is the big issue… Draenei emit the “battle squeak from hell”, which can be extremely grating for some people. This is something you need to figure out for yourself. I barely hear it anymore, other people are driven crazy by it…
If you want something a bit more “special”, I’d really go for a Dark Iron. Dwarves are rather rare and IMO Dark Irons are just that extra bit of cool (or hot?) over normal Dwarves. Also love the heritage armour quite a bit. I’ve recently started to get some gear for my DID Warrior, such a fierce and fiery little cannonball!

obviously for pure business you choose collector works, otherwise the usual combinations you have indicated, maybe skinning and lw so you make the items that you can dress, even if now outside the basic legendary items and some pieces at the beginning of the expansion, I don’t think that bring many advantages; it will be to see with the new expansion what the news will bring.
A separate discussion for engineering (to which you obviously have to combine mining), if you are interested in gadgets that are sometimes useful and often just fun
this comes from someone who has always leveled professions but then hardly ever used them, so take with a grain of salt what I told you as I will probably be proven wrong soon

I really dislike the fire effect in DI Dwarf hairstyles and beards. Ruins the whole race for me.
Ikr… that’s why I don’t picked them! Would be cool if there was an option in creation screen to turn the fire on and off

The only right options are female night elf and male dwarf, they just look amazing and female night elves have the best bow animations. Also, pick mining and engineering.
