So done a ton of gathering in Revendreth and the spawn rate for Widowblooms seem to be abyssmal. Herbs in general seem to be super rare in this zone. On the other hand, mining nodes are abundant.
During the time I farmed 100 Widowblooms I had accumilated 432 Sinvyr Ores which seems awfully imbalanced. In other zones the ratio between zone specific herbs and ores correlate much closer to eachother.
Also noticed that Widowblooms only award 2-4 herbs for each pickup which doesn’t align with other zone specific herbs where you can loot 3-7 herbs from each gather.
Is this intended or just an oversight by blizzard?
Thank god I don’t play a agility class this expansion.
I don’t believe this is intended, i have read that other players also report the same issue, with Widowbloom being super rare t o get.
Issue that i am encountering is that it despawning, when trying to herb it, death blossom is like 80% easier to get in the zone, due to it being the one actually spawning, and it don’t despawn when trying to herb it…
Wanted to create a post about this it seems i’m not the only one who feels this is way to low rate of widowbloom respawn , add a faster respawn to the initial respawn locations or manually add more locations , pr add more to it 5-6-7 ty very much .
There is a spell in spellbook, “Herb Gathering”. If blizz remove that spell from the game maybe it could help to stop multiboxing. There nothing like that spell on mining. I guess multiboxers are doing a mouseover macro for herb gathering with that spell. if it would be removed, multi boxing on herbalism maybe stopped.
i dont see any connection between randomly despawning a herb node for no reason and bots/multiboxers… its just bugged spawns and way too many death blossoms in ravendreth + the zone itself is so horrible to navigate
The only place I consistently found Widowbloom and not Death Blossom x 100 was the top left area of Revendreth, just north of the northwesternmost flight point. The rest of the zone is mostly miserable to try to herb in.
The reason you get more Widow and Nightshade and not Death Blossom there is because that’s an elite area, it has buffed resource nodes to compensate for elite mobs and larger mobe density.
Everywhere else, whether you get a node spawning as Widow or Blossom is entirely up to chance and, I’m guessing, a 45-45 split with Nightshade making up the last 10. The reason Blossom feels more like an 80% spawn is because there’s probably a lot of people that don’t understand node respawn mechanics and they bypass Blossoms while looking for Widows because ‘not worth’, hence those nodes stay there instead of getting respawned as Widows.
The problem with herbing in Revendreth is that the nodes are very, very spread out - most of the zone is a castle courtyard and built up areas where you only get one or two nodes in a garden patch. Interestingly, ore nodes are completely opposite and plentiful, because they don’t have any spawn points in the built up areas, meaning 90% of the nodes are concentrated around the Banewood and the sunny prison areas, making reapawns quick because they all respawn in that cramped area and not somewhere out of the way.
