This isn’t really a regular bug or a not important ignoble bug, Druids are really having a problem not been able to use their main and nearly only repeatable aoe healing spell “Wild Growth”.
The spell does heal randomly and it’s 100% buggy and here is a list of what “Wild Growth” Should be doing and what is actually happening :
Should be Doing :
The spell should give at least 5 people in a 15yards range a healing DOT called “Wild Growth” Which heals every player for X amount over 7secs and decreases the longer it stays.
What the Spell is currently Doing :
Heals 1 Target which is the caster himself even tho he’s in a 5-man group and stacked to other players
Targeting a Player in RDF and casting the spell could cause an Error saying “Invalid Target”
When group dies and revive back ( normally ) the spell get back to work
When the group dies and revive using ( reviving spells ) than those who did will not be healed ( or sometimes one will and one won’t ) you can’t exactly know.
When you kill a boss in the dungeon you could heal back the players just fine but if someone dies or left it could again get bugged and only heals randomly
When you’re in a 15 yards range within the player and use the spell it would say invalid target but getting a bit closer to the player ( 5 yards range ) will make it work again even tho same player and nothing changed.
This is currently 90% of the bugs i found about this just one spell,
Oh and Yeah it’s same thing for Gift of the Wild, you can even know who you won’t be able to heal by testing Gift of the Wild ( sometimes it’s completely the same ).
This isn’t a we’ll confirm and fix bug, this is currently only, we’re fixing it.
You can’t be doing any updates and adding ruby sanctum or whatever while you still have this bugs around.
You’re not a private server, and even private server have this spell fixed, which is really shame on you and your devs blizzard.
It’s easier said than done. Ironically, mostly PVE Realm Players have PVP on due to VoA autoflagging PVE players on PVE servers. The Meta on those PVE realms is to just have flag on 24/7, whilst PVP Realm players do not flag.
But even if the PVE players are not flagged, there is still the possibility of PVP flag becoming an issue once the PVP Player has to ghost walk.
Ghost walking to the dungeon as a PVP realm player will flag you for 5 min once entering the dungeon.
I’ve geared two Holy paladins through gamma dungeons this phase, and I can say 75% of Dungeon runs are mismatched with PVP/PVE players. There’s no escaping flagging issues.
Regardless of workarounds, it is indeed sad to see that Blizzard introduced RDF in a worse state it was originally released in, and they show no interest in fixing any of these issues, even for a patch expected to last half a year.
It might be addressed during Cataclysm, but that the quality of the remade version is worse than the one originally released 15 years prior is unimaginable.
They did try to address the issue with a fix, which did work for PVE realms for 1 or 2 days, unflagging PVE players that had PVP turned on but it totally screwed PVP realms over, randomly flagging people in raids for some odd reason.
Naturally, they just scrapped the whole fix altogether, and I guess they haven’t bothered since.
