What’s the theme of this tree? and how does everyone feel about it?
Cause to me it feels like some UI designer needed some talents to show at blizzcon so he made up some basic effects in like 10 min and the devs just forgot or ran with them and included them in the live version.
i like the extra bleed thingy what can proc on rip and rake, but everything else on this tree is hot garbage
The theme of this tree is some random plants and vines. Making a hero talent tree shared by feral and resto was definitely a difficult task. I didn’t expect Blizzard to come up with something creative and fun and they didn’t surprise me.
The root cause of this issue dates back to some weird past decisions where bears who are generally daytime animals have received arcane/moon magic. It would make more sense for bears to be able to spec into nature magic for damage and self healing, and share a hero talent tree with restoration.
At the same time cats who are mostly nocturnal predators don’t have any affinity to arcane/moon magic (not mentioning Lunar Inspiration which is a joke). It would make more sense for feral to have option in the talent tree to spec into arcane spells, and share a hero talent tree with balance.
I think the main problem is that there doesn’t seem to be anything that ties cat and resto together in this tree, each talent offers two different bonuses, one for cat and another for resto, like they overlayed two different trees on top of eachother.
Secondly it feels like the one who designed it doesn’t understand what hero talents are supposed to do and tries to make each individual talent useful to both specs and balanced against each other talent in the hero tree, instead of viewing the whole tree as a package.
