Will Blizz ever make a single player

pretty much this. I played mmos for long enough to get my fill of guilds and communities, not only in wow.
I still love mmos, I just don’t care for guilds much, and yeah, I miss out on some good stuff by playing alone, and can’t say I don’t envy people with their “family” type guilds, but 'eh, I ain’t a part of any, and I ain’t about to go look for one.

I would look for one but problem is, most of those family type guilds are too soft as in less entertaining way. I am not saying that is bad, but I like things a bit more intense. Not drama intense, just intense.

My problem is that i’m too old to be looking for friends, because I just stopped caring. So I either play with a couple of my already friends, or I play solo, either way is fine by me.

Classic is when I had a guild, I don’t anymore, and don’t play classic anymore.
But if I did want to play the same game but slower, I’d play solo still.

Is not like playing solo means I wouldn’t go pug a dungeon once in a while, just means I don’t care for guilds, and pugs work for me the same way a group of npc followers would work.

You acquire a bad case of split personality. :joy::joy::joy:

Tbh depending on what class you play you can effectively level solo.

But you’ll need to join up with others for some stuff like dungeons or if you want a reward from a group quest, unless getting to 60 is your only goal.

MultiLAYER, you said it.

Yet it doesn’t answer my question. Why does he do it?

Sure yeah, that’s fine. I am 32 and I still “believe”.

same and not same, lol
It’s not that i don’t “believe” is just i don’t care, or at least don’t care enough

Yeah, I find my self to care less and less as each day pass. So I pretty much, level alts or PvP random battlegrounds.

He probably does it because back in the day when wow was released it was conceived as a game for Solo players and people who group up together, when it was first released and I bought it the advertising for it was exactly that. many people do misinterpret what the meaning of an mmo is, it was just a flag with this game telling people that it will have other people playing alongside you - and if you want you can tap these players for help to do things or even form guilds to play with them, if you want, or not as the case may be!

I’d feel hunter and rogues are the 2 classes which excel playing solo in this game, with their fantasy.

Not gonna lie, i would pay for that sh*t

So far blizz has been more eager to scrap their side projects…

Solo Warcraft as like in Elder Scrolls 3, 4 and 5 may actually be a better way of doing a faction war than trying to do it in a MMO where you’re trying to keep balance for both factions as you want to keep players subscribed.

Which I think would’ve worked out better during end of Pandaria and the war in BFA overall as we could’ve had actual winners and loses in the war.

In this case it would’ve been good to see stories told out as you play a certain race that wins the war or loses it in each chapter. For this, having it as a single player RPG suits it more than MMO.

But also I’m more curious just what advancements in game engine and all they could do with such a game that tells one main story and several side stories with actual consequences that happened in the world, where you can decide for yourself who wins a faction war.

Not seen a MMO yet that can pull it off, this stuff should really stay in the single player RPG games like Elder Scrolls single player games.

Now if Activision/Blizzard were to do that, I’d be interested in giving that game a go.

I would pay to be allowed to have private worlds, just how they have in Conan Exiles or Fallout 76 (even that does not save that game).
Some sort of private server limite to just one player with the option to copy our characters (that means nothing made in that will have impact in real servers, it will be just for fun) but being allowed to mod it with access to the database, even if is limited in some ways, probably only allowing content from previous expansion and never the current one.

By the way there are some unofficial single player projects using private servers, adapting the private server code to made a one player game, mostly using bots for parts that requires multiple people.

Actually creating an RPG based on warcraft story is a great idea , without the mmo involved .
I would buy this 100% .
An rpg following the story from arthas , uther ,illidan (every character involved as either quest givers , support ) followers like shandris or greymane .
This would sell for millions of copies .

Having fewer classes or specs or updating them as you lvl up , boss fights diablo style with some of your followers .
Single player dungeons , boss fights .Imagine how many characters they created so far .

yes alliance gameplay feels like solo gameplay unless youre in one of the two big realms at peak hours

If they made a Warcraft Singleplayer open world a la Skyrim it would look amazing :open_mouth: with actual real world changing choices and factions to side that would actually matter would be incredible!
