Unfortunately soloing in wow will always reward you with tier behind.
You can’t do arena alone, you need friends.
You can’t raid alone you need guild or pug.
There nothing that the game is designed around which gives you top gear through soloing your way through it.
Got my last alt to 120 without speaking to a single person. Sure as hell already feels like a single player game.
I think there is both good and bad ‘‘singleplayer’’ ways to play an MMORPG.
I played Classic ‘‘solo’’ for 95% of the time, i quested solo, i grinded solo, professions solo etc, but it’s the small elements of bartering with other people, using the AH, finding PUGs, grouping up because of enemy faction nearby, those moments are brief but that is what makes an MMORPG for me at least.
The ‘‘random’’ real people interactions is what brings the magic of an MMO, because skyrim or whatever is nice, but there is no way to ‘‘create’’ these totally random player created elements of interaction in a single player MMO.
But then of course there is the bad elements where the game holds your hand and ENCOURAGES you don’t play with others. But these are very different ways of ‘‘soloing’’ an mmorpg
Imo, Guilds are quite antithetical to an MMORPG because guilds makes you just interact with one closed group of people over and over, MMORPGs should be about interacting with random people all the time, where the social element isn’t forced or known but fresh every time
Gosh I hope not. There are Bazillions of Studios making Quadrillions of Singleplayer games, but only a handful dedicated Multiplayerstudios. Not to mention mmorpgs, which are basically dead.
Warcraft 3 reforged is a graphics mod sold at a full game price…

In short. No.
Blizz wants esport, multiplayer and all the social stuff. That brings them more people and more potential money. Its not just blizz who do it. Think of all the games that just have multiplayer slapped on them for no reason at all.
As far as my opinion go I’d like a single player game from blizz.
I would agree with that if I saw that all of graphics they have added to WC3 Reforged is just high res and improved texture upon original WC3 and guess what? It is not. Plus, I think 35e is definitely worth the graphics. But I think it’s never just graphics.
