Will Blizzard ever restore deleted quests in Shadowlands?

Hi! I start playing WoW not so long ago. I love lore of Warcraft since Warcraft III and I trying to do all old expasions just for story. Sadly i found out recently that Blizzard just removed a lot of old quests without logic reasons. And now I know, that I will never see battle of Undercity, I will never do legendary quests for Wrathion in MOP an many more. This discouraged me from playing (don’t judge me, I know that WoW offers more than story, but story is very important for me). On BlizzCon, they says that they want to change leveling and they will allow to experience a stories of old expansions. Are you think there is a chance for restore deleted quest? And maybe we will see gain Varian on throne in Stormwind, when we decide to leveling in Wrath of the Lich King for example?

Interesting thought. Would be nice to see those old Qs come back, especially for those that missed them. If they are not added in the direct Q line maybe add some bronze dragon somewhere and “time jump” like some other zones?

I also wondering about flying in Shadowlands… For example, if you start the Cata xpac at lvl 10 you probably wont be able to fly just yet, and Deepholm is gonna be quite hard to quest in without flying mount =P

due to some programming issues it was removed, most likely it will be to complicated to add again.
However, with the recent survey about TBC, where people were asked to select an option about levelling a character in a TBC realm, you might have a chance to eventually experience the battle for the undercity if they’d do classic servers of TBC and potentially Wotlk.

The Anduin quests for the pre-twilight highlands quests were also removed, I thought they were kinda fun.

Yeah, I know that probably TBC will return and I will play it for sure

they want to progress the story. and sometimes it ‘overwrites’ older content, but thats how things are. i hate it too, the fact that i cant experience the things i missed (everyone missed something) but it is what it is. that should not be the reason to quit (there are plenty of other reasons).

You right Wushupanda. But it’s look like Blizz make a pression on players, you have to pay for subs and play if you don’t want to miss something. But it’s unfair for new players like me. Well, it’s seems I have to accept it somehow…

I want the Legendary cloak to return. That quest chain was awesome. I even did it 6-7 times.

You got the title ‘‘Legend of Pandaria’’ if you had earned the cloak when WoD pre-patch came. Re-add the chain and let people earn the cloak again, just don’t give out the title again.

Same with the Legendary Ring, even though that chain was pretty meh.

Undercity… The wotlk or BFA one ? The BFA battle for undercity is still available afaik, only thing you’re missing on is the war or thorns but it wasn’t particularly interesting

They never claimed that they would bring back deleted content tho, and i doubt they’ll bring back then pre-patch events. Deleted questlines are different tho as they do not impact the world itself as long as the exclusive rewards are not given for free, this was the very reason why they removed it.

Probably the Wrath one with Putress and Varimathras.

Really regret missing that one tbh, especially as Varimathras is back in the story and teased Sylvanas plan in Legion

I joined when Cata was released so I missed it as well. :frowning:

Just to clarify, some pre-patch events were never removed in the fist place. The story quests from Pre-WOD even is still in game, and the same for Pre-MOP and Pre-Legion, you can start the quests related to the lore of the event in Broken Isles Dalaran. There is no reason why they couldnt keep Pre-BFA event like those events.

About the rewards… that is not enought reason to remove the quests, they can just remove the reward and keep the quests, precisely in some other cases like TBC Hand of Adal and Champion of Naaru quests or WOD Pre-Events they did just that, they remove the rewards but keeping the quests. There is no reason why they can’t keep MOP and WOD quest chains without rewards like those other quests chains.

You mean the Assault on Theramore scenario?

Ofc it wasn’t removed, it was part of the scenarios at max level. The event simply let you do it before 90 + loot.

Yes, it could be weird but Assault on Theramore scenario was Pre-MOP event at level 85, it also has exclusive rewards during MOP, a toy for horde and a tabard for Alliance, those rewards are not available anymore.

My point is this was a Pre-Expansion event and it wasnt removed after the event.
And it is not the only one, the story quests of Pre-WOD and Pre-Legion are still in game.

I don’t care much about rewards, they could give us only gold for those quest if they want rewards to be exclusive and time limited. I just hate when game content connected with game story are removed.
PS: Sholah, I was mean Battle for Undercity from WotLK of course
