The Earthen give me a bad feeling, like from now on it’s just gonna be reskins. Some reskins were cool, vulpera had a whole unique vibe to the goblins, but it feels like they just keep going “Alright guys, dwarves again… but rocky” “here’s the 18th elf variant” I hope we end up getting Harronir or Nerubians playable cause atleast they feel a little more interesting? (also find it very strange that the new dwarves are american? but maybe there’s a lore reason for that?)
Earthen got armor like normal, with gems protruding them.

They even got special armor that only they can wear (and the other two dwarf races).

Blizzard is in a damned if we do… Damned if we don’t, position when it comes too new races…
Cause unless that next new race is a Murloc or a ogre or a Tuskar people will just always hate on anything new they come up with… As past releases has shown.
The way I see it. they are trying to stay as safe as possible. Release new races you just wont feel that strongly about
Too put it mildly… Any new race that is added. That isn’t a naga. Murlock or Ogre or High elf will just get 
on for not being them by the community… So Blizzard just wont make a big deal out of adding new races anymore… Is the feel I have.
I just hope whatever comes next, that it won’t use the night elf skeleton as a base (like Harronir do) AGAIN. It’s the worst set of animations possible.

They added humanoid nerubar for a reason. I think well get both races eventually but the earthern are just the launch race
Then… give us playable ogres? I don’t care if we have to wait 3 more expansions at this point. Just stop the pointless reskins and invest in quality over quantity.
And you don’t have to have the gems.
I´m in the “Murloc and Ogre” camp…there´s so much more, but c´mon!

Well, they are an allied race and the vast majority of those are basically just reskins.
Core races are still pretty unique overal. Despite me not liking them, Dracthyr have pretty unique appearances. The ‘almost no armor’ was a bit lazy though.
The Harronir seem more interesting to me as well than these dwarf variants.
Hell, even the possibility of humans getting half-elf ears (maybe, hopefully) is more interesting to me.
To be fair that’s the only customization option I’m excited about, I’d really love to play a half elf on some characters like my warrior

Reskins (or similar) are probably the only viable way to add new races.
With a completely new race they would have to rework all the armour and weapons in the game to work with the new race body shape and movement.
That would be a lot of work for very little return.
The other option is they do what they did with Dracthyr and limit their transmog options severely.
