Ok ,so for now shadowlands has been both a pleaseure but also an inferno for me.
After 5 pm server time , It is literally out of the question to attempt to log in. My job finishes at 7 pm server time and with a que of 5000+ I cannot play the game.
My only solution would be to make a afk hack machine from a desk fan that presses space , so I can log on in the morning and then start playing when I finish work.
I am asking because this might be against the terms of service but I also payed for this game and still pay for it but I’m unable to play it .
And no , moving to another server is out of the question.

Yes you will be banned as you are automating an input to the game, not to mention peeing off people in a queue because you are taking space whilst not been there.

Didn’t read into it, but isn’t only automation by software an actionable offense?
I know that on classic WoW you get banned for AFK abusing in BGs. Wouldn’t be surprised if they do some AFK abuse banning on retail too.
The hack idea would be to hit the same key after X seconds. With no variation. That would definitely be flagged as automated, software or hardware, Blizzard wouldn’t know the difference. Just the same action performed after the same interval.
This is the desperation that we as players are forced into thinking now because Blizzard refuse to fix it as long as they can milk money from people server transferring!

No any automation that isn’t done directly by the player is bannable, tho as you say chances of them knowing maybe small, but infinitely larger now the OP has expressed his intentionsl.
Let’s just say this will almost certainly lead to a very undesirable outcome, causing a lot more problems with login into the game than any queue would.

a lot more problems? It can’t get any worse than it already is!

How about you fix the servers so we don’t have to resort to this way of thinking in the first place!

I’m SHOCKED, that there even is a blizz here and reading the forums… Considering so many threads go without notice

World of Warcraft surely has algorithms to flag unusual behaviour.
Even if it’s not caused directly by 3rd party software -
it’s not unlikely that you’re going to face a ban.
What are you talking about?
Do you really think they don’t notice the whine threads? Only 3 servers out of 263 have launch issues because they are full. They are not going to do anything after they told you that the server is full and will lead to problems. What do you want them to do anyway? They are not going to buy HIGH TECH SUPER AMAZON SERVERS so that a bunch of kiddos can play world of warcraft for 9.99 a month.

I’m on a very low pop server and not draenor… so dono why you lash out on me about this… I just find it funny, How few threads they actully reply to.
I am not lashing out but Blizzard no longer responds to everything.
They used to back in the day and back then people hold them accountable to every single word they ever wrote online. I used to post on a gladiator forum back in the day and people would chat to GMs just to ask them questions and if the GM got it wrong they would post the screenshot online on the forum to make fun of them and mock them and Blizzard frequently read the forum to gain feedback for PvP changes despite it not being the official forums.
Blizzard employees these days only post to make official announcement or to post in unserious threads. If only 1 of them posted in those threads they would get a ton of hate, especially if they stopped replying. “Look guys he hasn’t come back, Blizzard clearly doesn’t care!”
Or just afk normal you get kicked to character screen still past the queue?
No after a while you will get kicked from the server completley
what if i train my dog to step on the keyboard from time to time??
