Is that Finnish language or am I wrong because I like that.
Most quests weren’t that long, but the items from the first 2 raid tiers took 4-5 weeks and winning the 2 BGs in MoP also could take a while. Atleast the ring in WoD wasn’t so powerful that it was a must-have (atleast for hc and the first few mythic bosses), but the cloak was such a great dmg gain that it just felt like having no essences now.
What I typed was Finnish, what Radium typed was Estonian. Both are ‘elvish’ for the people not speaking the languages.
Ah thank you and it does not sound to me because I can recognize it to a point the only language that sounds
to me is French I still cannot grasp it sadly.
Interesting thing about these 2 languages is also that they sound similar and we share lot of same words but they often mean completely different things. I always smile when i pick money from automat in Estonia because it says “sularahaautomaat” on it and in finnish meaning of that word is: melted money automat. Also if i recall right in busses exit is labeled “löysäpääsexit” or something similar which in finnish translated to “exit for those with loose heads”.
edit: also should add that aitäh in estonian is thank you but in finnish same words mean “oh what”
Oh wow interesting so that means the words are similar but they have completely different meanings and a hilarious one at that
.I heared some people compare Hungarian language to Finnish which I am not sure that it has any similarities whatsoever?.
Why all those items that provides 3stats ( neck for example, now back) always gives crit jaste mastery, but none of it gives versa? The most balanced stat thst gives same ammount to all classes/specs?
Interesting I learned something new today also to add before I read the word correctly I read it like Altair lol Assassin’s Creed was in my head lol.
Hungarian is by linguistics related to finnish but there is absolutely no similarities in normal person talking sense and hungarian looks gibberish to me. Estonian is very close and even with different meanings with words it is pretty easy to understand most of the times. I have also learned it a little bit because i used to have estonian work mate when i was living in Netherlands for while and she teached me.
I really don’t understand why considering that Shadowlands will seemingly be far more alt friendly with quicker leveling and less grind. I cannot fathom why they hang on to these tedious and boring grinds in BfA, when they already more or less acknowledged that they are boring and tedious.
Aha thank you for elaborating it now I understand it only has linguistic similarities nothing else but yea Hungarian always sounded like giberish to me aswel even thou in the north border they are closest to us but still hard to understand them.
So you know a bit of Dutch aswell?
On topic: My main issue with the legendary quests is the removal after expansions and the pain to get it on alts. Joined Mop late in the expansion and wasn’t bothered to get it at that moment. Skipped WoD.
Yes i do speak little bit dutch although dutch don’t always agree it’s dutch when i speak it. Stupid letter g.
On topic: i have never done legendary questlines before because they always required some stuff i don’t do in game. This one seems to be first one i can do! Except with most of my alts who didn’t do warcampaign, but i don’t mind that so much. I am just happy that we get some solo/small group content (probably actually not running it solo but with 2-3 friends) and that it’s not gated behind raids or such. I was so sure they would do it but now they surprised me positively on this one!
Ye. Sorry about that. Apparently w is also difficult for some people. Mostly from Asia. A friend of mine complained that ot was really hard to understand what we said in English because of it
Radium my buddy I would gladly do the legendary questline with you when it comes out but alas we are not on the same realms and also because you made it sound so fun right now
back in Legion legendary questlines and obtaining them was a good time spent gave me something to do when I was done with the main progression.
- Off topic the only thing famous from Finland that I know of are Lordi and Korpiklaani.
I’ll be honest, I don’t think its possible for the xpac to be worse than what it is now.
But, that’s what I said as I was waiting for Legion, That’s what I said as I was waiting for BFA aswell…so what do I know
If you only do HC, don’t worry. It’s easy, I never use any flask/consumable, and most the time i don’t even use a pve build/essence
Isnt the warcampaign account wide? When it is a requirement I got a big problem
That’s nothing mate Polish and Russian are very similar languages (there is a telling that drunk Polish man and Russian will understand each other :D), but sometimes meanings of the same word in both languages are riddiculous:
what’s “table” in Polish, in Russian it’s “chair”
what’s “tie” in Polish, in Russian it’s “bed”
what’s “Sunday” in Polish, in Russian it’s “week”
what’s “breathing” in Polish, in Russian it’s “resting”
“caviar” -> “carpet”
“carpet” -> “sofa”
PS. I like how thread derailed
Not really. Other side of the language family. Dont understand a word from Finnish as a Hungarian.
Yes I figured that out Radium explained it in detail .
