That was my problem too, i wanted to play WoW, even after i did my LfR-raids for the week (Which were cool, but the “You don’t deserve proper raid gear, LfR-scrub!”-thing dampened excitement a bit), but there was preciously little to do out in the world (Until Blizz finally got the memo in the Tanaan-patch)
That, coupled with Garrisons generating resources and the very late introduction of flying, led to the whole “Everyone was just sitting in their garrisons!”-complaint.
The Horde side of the housing system basically looks the same as garrisons for another round. Instead of going after the aesthetics of the most popular races they stick to Orc huts AGAIN. Blizzard never learns.
They said those are the starter aesthetics. Likely picked due to race population among the players (see https://www.dataforazeroth.com/stats/races). Other race architecture will follow in future patches.
Orc and Blood elf, and for the Alliance Human and Night elf, which are the four most played races in the game according to the first WoW population data website i found on Google.
So that sounds like a fairly good starting point for housing designs to me.
Not for me! It’s Horde specific, it is what makes Horde THE Horde
Hell no … Don’t use everyone if you cannot prove that 100% of all players don’t like it.
We will have Human, Night Elf, Orc and Blood Elf aesthetics anyway
Garisons where huge part of WoD gameplay and it was must for game progress.
While Housing is just artistic additon to game - you don’t have to touch it if you don’t like and still progress in game.
