Will Midnight be another WoD?

Housing the main draw see Garrisons in WoD, another filler story xpac see Gul dan running off lol.

The new open world content sounds lazy and awful… Prey system fill bar goodness…Then if ambushed you can’t kill it just wasting time until you can then find it and kill it proper so its pointless?

Needing to go back to Silvermoon every time you want to do one = time sink = no real content?

As you can tell I will sit Midnight out to last patch or pre patch of the next one, just not feeling this one.

Hey, you do you, man.
I’m not going to argue your grievances, even though some are factually wrong or very short sighted.

See ya around!

But how will you find out if Midnight will be another WoD if you won’t even play? Actually nevermind, what I meant was..

Oh no… Anyway.

I’ve seen damp patches more exciting than your threads.

don’t forget the class butchering pruning !
also first seen in WoD.

i’m already calling midnight WoD 2.0

With the World Soul trilogy, the hastened release of TWW and Midnight both feel like intentional crunch towards building The Last Titan and beyond.

But.. the Garrison system was pretty good by itself. It’s just brought down with how lacking WoD was otherwise.

What is this garrison hate, its 11 years old was actually quite ahead of its time and literally forced you to go outside unlike u wanted to rot in the default one.

Wanted decorations go do hours of archeology with quite some rng to keep you occupied, you got monuments/statues jukebox that also invited you to play not just current content but also old one, trading post with selfbuild auctionhouse you had to farm in ashran, nemesis stuff a harbor idk it had quite a lot of stuff that turned this from wellp to wow its so lively here.

So what did I get wrong… you fill the bar to finish the hunts… You can’t kill when you get ambushed…

lol.

Didn’t stop them from adding the slop to Legion or BFA.

I don’t think housing is as impactful in terms on their effort. I am a super casual so these kind of stuffs suit me well

WoD’s story becoming a filler was not the intention AFAIK, so I would stay optimistic on Midnight’s. I also don’t mind “filler” as long as they are well done

For open world I do have concern on that particular underground map (the tree place? Haranir’s homeland) and how it is connected to eversong region, not much else.
I also don’t mind revisiting there because BElf was the first race I actually like back in TBC, and Eversong will bring me some nostalgia I believe

Its always good to not rush and preorder stuffs

In WOD we were fighting actual characters – Garrosh, Iron Horde warchiefs, Shadow Council etc. – someone fans hate or love.

In Midnight we will be fighting nameless stones of infinity cloud army, noone cares about

In WOD we had garrison, where you could not choose its location or racial outlook, in Midnight we have houses, where you can’t choose location, racial outlook AND its as useless as a hat on Pepe.

Sorry, Midnight is not WOD 2.0, its WOD 0.2. its worse in fact, its not even Legion.

Legion had class halls and suramar, even if everything else was a ctrl c+ ctrl v from other expansions.

Midnight does not seem to have anything original coming at all, except for Harandar, which is actually a TWW zone, there is allegedly even an inactive entrance to Harandar from Khaz Algar.

So yeah – you WISH – it was WOD or at least Legion, its actually worse.

Garrisons was a central part of WoD.

Housing is a side activity like pet battling… it ain’t the same.

compared to warwithin midnight looks awesome

That would mean it’s an improvement because it isn’t WoD 1.0

Midnight might be lower than WoD.

Just look at the raids we got in the latest expansion.

3 freaking raids. That nobody do because they are not interesting.

Well that would be a treat, I hecking loved WoD!

I think i’ll call “Citation needed” on that, both parts, the “Nobody does them”, and “Because they’re not interesting”.

The raids were WoD’s focal point (Thank heavens the “Raid or die”-era is over by now), world content was pretty sparse until Tanaan jungle was released, so the WoD/Midnight comparison kind of face-plants into a pool of mud from the start…

To be fair the raids in WoD were pretty decent!

WoD’s biggest problem was it had fun class design I wanted to go out and use, but I had nothing to do…
