Will the aspects/flights emancipate themselves from the titans?

By now we know that the titans are far from beloved beings. And we also know that they exerted quite a lot of influence on the aspects and flights, depending on your views bordering on mind control (making the primalists in some way freedom fighters instead of pure villains).

Currently the aspects and flights are still very much aligned with the titans. They seek to restore the power the titans gave them, still hold them in high regards and hatch their eggs in the ruby pools which were designed by the titans to somehow keep the flights “in line with their goals and vision”

Do you think the DF storyline will eventually lead to the aspects and flights disavowing the titans and what effect will that have on them?

You should probably go through the VA renown 12 questline that gives some insight on this topic
I won’t say anymore to prevent spoilers

Still just lvl 10 but thanks for the hint.

I don’t think the spoilers change much for the question though. At the moment they are still looking to reclaim their titan-given powers and charges. And they fought a dragon war about that, so they should be pretty invested in that. And while titanic goals aren’t exactly our goals, the mortals of Azeroth as well as the Dragon swarms are creatures that pretty much depend on the order the titans imposed, and that’s not likely to change.

I do see the potential of titan-aligned bad guys this addon. But the only one I expect an active disavowal of their plans from, is the guy we already know will do it: Nozdormu/Murozond. The rest will probably try to make the best of a bad situation, like usual. Which isn’t exactly hard for most, since guarding the planet, guarding life, guarding the use of magic and guarding the dream are pretty vanilla jobs, independent of the guys the dragons got them from. Forcing one specific timeline the titans find favourable into existence is another matter, though, especially if that timeline isn’t compatible with mortal interests in the end.

The thing about the primalists is that they’ve started out with a good point, but since then they’ve pretty much lost the thread beyond their hate toward anything titan related. Combine that with the element of decay rearing it’s ugly head again and they’ve got a lot more immediate concerns than what the titans were thinking 20k years ago.

Yes, if the primalists or the Sundered Flame wouldn’t be so out for revenge they would be the good guys.

Although even though we fight the Sundered Flame so far I do not see them as enemies.

its going to end with the aspects accepting both elemental and titanic powers, as the elements are not inherently bad. They were enslaved by the old gods, not minions of them.

Even then, really? What makes them the good guys in that case? They would have a point if they said “Just leave us alone” but they want to reverse the Ordering by the Titans. Which means…well killing everybody.
