Will this run WOW Smoothly on Ultra?

Hello,
I’m getting a new gaming pc. My current one is from 2008 so you can imagine that’s just a toaster.

Right now, I’m ordering a MSI gaming laptop with the following specs:

  • i7-9750H Hexa Core, 2.60 GHz w/ Turbo 4.50 GHz, 12 MB
  • 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 2666MHz
  • 15.6" Full HD (1920x1080), IPS, 120Hz, Thin Bezel
  • Intel® UHD Graphics 630 + NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB GDDR5
  • SSD 512GB NVMe PCIe

Do you think this will give me a appropriate gaming experience?
Also, I’m also getting a Krom Kernel RGB and a Corsair Scimitar Pro RGB Gaming MOBA/MMO (with a FURY X Mouse Pad).

Yes, I’m asking for advice considering I’m not that good in choosing pc’s at all.

I wouldn’t want to guarantee it; as old as the WoW game engine core is, you’d still want to be running it on a 9900K/2080 Super/ti level Desktop system to comfortably expect smooth Ultra performance.

That machine should certainly give ~100fps or more on ‘7’ (probably the highest that Blizzard will ever ‘Recommend’); above that you tend to be throwing massive amounts of money at your system to get lesser increases in performance.

The approriate gamingexperience would be to buy a stationary gamer with similar stats and a 27" 144hz screen.

Want 100fps on Wow, it’s either 9900k from Intel or a R9 3950K from AMD. And with a 2070/2080 card.

If doing 1440p though, could get away with the highest 1660TI though. Not sure on newer AMD Graphic cards until they have come out.

If purely for gaming… 9900K from intel. If you’re going to game and edit video/stream at the same time. The 3950K is the better option.

Depends on what you’re going to use your system overall. Right now AMD for stuff such as encoding and 3D modelling.

But either cpu will do WoW at level 7, even my 2700x does it with 100fps easily when paired with a 2080ti.

It’s a laptop, so no.
