I submitted a ticket about this and the reply was we can’t talk about it and since TBC collector’s edition will be available will Tyrael’s Hilt be available?

Edward Cairn is in the beta but you can’t talk to him. Slim chance that they will activate him for live I guess. Hopefully you will get the pet just like the og CE edition pets, but TCG codes can’t be activated either so could go either way.
it is already active in retail and the pet is bind on account.
I sent a ticket in classic and they replied that Tyrael’s Hilt is in TBC loot table so fingers crossed.
I am curious to know what will happen with WOW Anniversary events. Back in TBC Blizzard gifted a pet during the 3rd anniversary and another during the 4th one. They could just have these rewards again the first and second time WOW Anniversary happens during TBC or maybe during Classic 3rd and 4th Anniversary instead.
Also if I remember correctly during TBC was also a PVP Tournament with special realms created with free gear where only was possible to play Arena. It required to pay a fee to play on that realm, it only happened during TBC and WOTLK. At the end, there were a pet and title as rewards for players who play in the tournament.
Another special event during TBC was the 2008 Olympic event. It was supposed to be a recurring event with new rewards every Olympic but after this one, it was discarded, we never have Olympic event during subsequent Olympic games.
And of course Blizzcon rewards. At least Blizzcon rewards (and Tyrael’s Hilt even if itself is not a Blizzcon) should have the same treatment as Collector Editions.

they said they might repurpose landro longshot so they might use him to re introduce tcg or anniversary stuff.
only blizzard knows for now though.

In a month we’ll get the midsomnar event’a for a nice tabard, not sure what else tbh

Why would you not get the vampire hatchling? Its pre WotLK event so just wait until then.
Also they said they would re-add the olympics pet this year or whenever the next olympics are. Not sure about which version of the game or both.
