but they have started to change more and more each expansion
the Protocol instances in wrath, gold tokens, paid lvl boosts and now adding legendaries as transmog in cata along with tons of other smaller changes like hunters getting trap launchers in wrath
and in terms of changes in cata, we are only at the start of the expansion so i think we will see alot more changes as it goes on
and minus the paid features i think people have enjoyed it
Notice how all the changes are from retail? The whole transmog system is the retail version with more restrictions and less features.
A simplified classic version of M+
Retail features to increase profits.
Retail feature, which doesn’t apply to Warglaives, it’s an achievement reward for clearing Black Temple Timewalking. If you dont have both glaives + this achievement you can’t transmog Warglaives as a DH either.
Retail QOL feature. WOTLK had a lot of these little changes, but almost everything remained in a 2010 patch 3.3.5 state unchanged for the entire thing. Meanwhile retail (the actual version with changes) is constantly updated and iterated on.
To try to position Classic as the version “with changes” over Retail is bizarre, when the whole tagline for Classic for 3 years was #nochanges and changes have been few and far between.
Blockquote
Hilariously wrong and revisionist. Classic was specifically about recreating the original experience and #nochanges was a massive part of Classic before TBC, even TBC only saw minor changes. It was ALWAYS about recreating the experience, not redoing the content.
I get what you are coming from, but you are kind of contradicting yourself. In your opinion NO legendary should be able to be transmogged at all. But I don’t see that point in your message about that anywhere.
If they decide to keep the legendary tmog in the game (because they literally copy/pasted the code from retail, #lazy) they should change the glaives up till the point we actually get DH’s. Although I doubt we’ll ever get that far in classic.
Cataclysm as an expansion was not mentioned or discussed in that post, so what the hell are you talking about? You really are a muppet.
How does that make sense? You want them to let Warriors and Rogue transmog glaives until Legion Classic and then remove it from Warriors and Rogues? If they were going to let Warriors and Rogues transmog it they would have done it in retail already, if they were going to change their minds for Cataclysm they’d have done it for retail already.
They just released Cataclysm, knowing it’s one of the most disliked expansions, and you think they aren’t going to release Legion, one of the most loved expansions of all? They will continue to milk classic progression for years to come, because it’s easy money.
