Here is for hoping and yes im a huge fan of arthas too. Would anyone else want this ?

Unless they do a retcon Arthas is gone for good.

While undead make for cool baddies (Not as much need to delve into why they’re evil, either), Arthas is completely gone, “Gone” as in “we watched the last remnants of his soul waft away like a fart in a draughty room” (In a cinematic after the Jailer, IIRC), barring bronze dragons or alternate timelines, he’s not coming back.

Lol that was funny on a brighter note i think 100% of the player base would accept if they made shadowlands none canon

Unless that’s only your point of view. :joy: After a recent interview with the writers, they could do anything and justify it as not being the actual events as it’s from a specific point of view.

Arthus will return if they want him to and you don’t need the Lich King to talk about the scourge or how the undead are coping without a Lich King in Northrend. Arenthye more like the Forsaken now, are they walking zombies, the lore says more powerful undead have taken leadership like local warlords. Could we see a new type of jndead factions etc.

I’m just going off what we saw in that cinematic, i think the scourge 2.0 (Add some of the undead models from Maldraxxus into the mix, those were pretty cool) could be a good basis for a story, maybe have us play the undead warlords you mentioned out against each other, let players pick a side, Aldor/Scryers style, we need more choices, makes alts more interesting.

All i was saying is that Arthas is gone, and that’s fine, WoW can’t lean on “Warcraft III”-characters forever.

I would like to see the veil weaken in some regions of the world due to the Shadowlands. It would be awesome to have death energy affect more of Northrend, creating new types of undead or have factions in the shadowlands trying to influence or work with the scourge. It would be awesome to have Northrend be this creepy dead zone with all these unimaginable horrors bleeding into the world from beyond the veil.

Especially at this time of year. :jack_o_lantern:

We will see few former Scourge factions led by seperate San’layns and other Necrolords in Northrend in the future, would wager that these sub-groups would be a precursor to the upcoming playable raceSan’layn or even the Necromancer class, but probably in a couple years from now, who knows.

The toy finally dropped in Scholo so I could unlock the old version yesterday. The questline in old Scholo where you get a scourgestone and activate the reputation had me wondering whether they simply needed something of a story to make it not too nonsensical (perfectly possible) or whether it’s actually some foreshadowing for future Scourge events in Azeroth.

Either way, if they wish to bring the Scourge back, they’ll figure out a way. I’m not sure how I’d feel on that, I’ve never particularly liked the undead scourge vibes, but then again, it’s got proper nostalgic vibes and no doubt Light zealots would pop out of the woodworks. Could be fun!

Well a scourge expansion does not need another arthas it can be about the scourge and what has happened with northrend since the fall of the lich king. There must always be a lich king quote made by his papa at the end of icc

After the anduin fight in sepulcher

We made a pact not to speak of his name WE do not recognise the jailer as canon

Really big huge ‘nope’ from me.

Next expansion is Northrend revamp expansion.

Oh did we?

Ah, my bad, i gave up on even LfR raiding in the latter two tiers of SL, just saw the cinematics once on YouTube…

Fair enough sepulcher was fine but not one of the greatest raids so can’t blame you

Blizzcon is in ten days, so yeah, real leaks should start appearing.

I believe the high scholars pack is the next expansion clue that they put up they do it on the store every time. Im 100% certain of dalaran return.
