Which just enforces the point: Paying a sub matters.
That’s why it’s such an achievement that WoW has the numbers it has after 20 years WITH a sub. That is rare.
As the other guy posted he said wow player don’t play other games.
Now imagine you throw wow into a gamepass sub , suddenly those wow players who lived in a cave are exposed to new games. New experiences , new microtransaction purchasers.
No cod point buyers. New battlepass buyers. New skin buyers.
These players will be like well since im paying to access all these games. Might aswel give them a try .
Plenty of people only pay for 1 month to experience a new patch then wait for the next in 3+months time.
Sure never said otherwise i just don’t anyone Out of a group of 300 people I know who play wow.
Pay a monthly the majority use tokens are sub deals going on.
Also can we get to the other question , expansion price increase ? Will we see it go to 100 euros or even higher. Since alot of Ubisoft / Ea and Even call of durty games have 119 euro premium editions.
Can’t speak for others, but I am already ‘exposed to other games’, I just don’t take an interest in them for the most part (with some exceptions).
So no, I would not give most games a try because they’re not games I enjoy. Not even for free; they cost me time. Time I’d rather spent on something I enjoy.
Gamepass for me doesn’t offer anything in the long term that I find appealing.
I’ve had a gamepass twice and both times it wasn’t for long. First time I had a sub for a month, I played what I wanted to play and then unsubbed. The second time was for Starfield; which was such a disappointment to me I asked for a refund, which I got. So I wasn’t even subbed for a day.
I don’t believe it has the worth you think it does.
Don’t please , Starfield was heartbreakingly dull and boring =[
I can imagine 100 for the highest edition but if a base edition costs that, I don’t think they’ll make much sale.
It’ll be a hit when it comes over to the PS5! 
It’s got me worried about Elder Scrolls 6 especially considering Bethesda said Starfield and it’s expansion is some of their best writing and work ever.
I know it’s probably corporate speech but … even if there’s an once of truth in that. I’m worried.

The price of a wow sub is $14.99 since 2005. The price hasn’t gone up.
If you add inflation over 20 years , a wow sub should be $24.99 in 2025.
I wonder how many would still be subbed to wow at $24.99 per month
Would token reliancy increase. What happens eastern european / Turkish players would they just quit ?
Methinks sub and base game price would stay current or as low as possible while upgrades will cost more or become diversified e.g. they add more in those tiers or add more tiers so people can decide whether to spend or not.
From what I’ve seen with EAccess people got what they wanted and there was no real feared super advantages and login load got spread over too avoiding the dreaded login monster queue. So that will very likely return.
Well tin foil hat time. Sort of… But I can see the deluxe edition becoming the next ‘‘base’’ game for expansions to buy from a player perspective in the future. If blizzard pulls off what they did for war within again for midnight.
You got to play the game 3 days earlier than anyone who bought the base expansion package. And everybody and me included where telling everyone it came with no advantages over other players 
Well… During those 3 days I was able to level all my characters to max level within a few hours. And I bet allot of people wont forget that happening anytime soon. And will propably by the deluxe edition next time. And -that- might be more pricey next time.
I can see the base game prices will stay as normal. But deluxe and epic editions will include allot of more bonus stuff and perks in the future. that will be very pricey
They raise the prices up . No-one buys them , than a few months (sometimes weeks) later the games go on Sale for 30 $ and suddenly everyone buys them .

And you couldnt do all the storyline as it was gated so no huge advantage at all, by the time all the above opened up everyone was at same level anyways as leveling was so quick and easy.

You where here I am sure Alaric. Blizzard nerfed the fast leveling speed pretty much right after everybody got the base expansion access. Allot of people where not happy. And saw it as an advantage
That was done after 2 weeks as far as i recall when most had leveled it was not after 3 days at all.
But please tell me in your own words and not hyperbole what advantage did anyone get before season 1 opened?

they got to level up all their characters within hours like I said? And I said if you had read what I said. That with early acsess you got to level up your characters 3 days before anyone else.

Before season 1 opened 2 weeks after launch nearly everyone was max level so nobody had an advantage everyone had same gear and blalala.
Your not reading being max level is not an advantage if there is no content to do.

It doesn’t matter Aleric. Even if your right. You saw the rage that came with the nerf of the leveling speed and how mad people got they where told there was no advantage regardless. Of what you think it was or wasn’t. Allot of people still did.
I cant exactly fact check you either when the nerf came or not. But apperently it came fast enough for people to feel like they where fooled.
I am just saying some people will propably wanna buy the early access package next time. And blizzard will probably add more perks to the deluxe and epic editions that propably will be more pricey

There is no doubt because they already said that prior to TWW it will be there model.

So i apologise about that but it still gave no advantage like i said because everything was season locked. Thats the reason why they locked everything so people could do it together.
