Will wrath stay and get seperate server, or will be scrapped as TBC?

Just wondering. I have no plans moving beyong wrath, and I have no plans playing in classic vanilla season of mastery. All I care is wrath and raiding ICC for the next 10 years

No one knows but Blizzard will make huge mistake if they won’t keep Wrath servers. A lot of players like me and you enjoy Wrath and don’t want to play Cataclysm.

i bet they will be scrapped like tbc.

Alot of players disliked that they removed tbc, they did it anyway.

we need wotlk+ servers
cata is not “classic”
wotlk is the last “classic” expansion, they can make cata sure alot ppl will like it but It should be renamed to smthing else

WOTLK was the most popular era on Private servers Ive been told (not sure if its true).

Blizz should keep it. It was the peak of WOW. After it went downhill.

For me Cataclysm is where I left the game. And I will leave it a second time if thats the road ahead.

I will play WOTLK if it stays and I will also do another run if they start a new NON SOM, NON RUSH, NON SOMECHANGE classic era (the other faction).

But I guess they will take the “easy route” with a minimal dev team of trainees releasing a bug ridden, half hearted Cataclysm thats even worse than the original.

Indeed, wrath and Vanilla are the 2 most popular private server modes. Hard to tell which is more popular, but it feels like there is wrath Pserver on every corner.

We already see some of the “+” - small retri buffs, Heroic+ dungeons - I think these are experiments by Blizzard, to see how community will react into tuning/low impact “new” content, before perhaps doing some bigger updates in content.

There are a lot of things Blizz could do, but the question -is - how open the community will be. I doubt we will get new dungeons/raids/quests, but smaller things might happen.

For example, upon ICC release - Naxx is converted into 5man mega dungeon for catch-up purposes (drops naxx25 loot to later transition into buffed up H+) - now would this be acceptable or not? I guess such changes would make a lot controversy and discussions in the community. Blizzard have a big headace here

If they didn’t keep TBC servers then why would they keep WoTLK servers?
This is unfortunately the biggest argument why they would not keep WoTLK servers as they have already shown that they are not treating classic as what it should have been, but rather a “re-run” of the whole World of Warcraft release line.

I know its only 1 expansion they have axed this way and it is only 2 expansions in but WoTLK being highly popular does not mean they will keep it up out of the goodness of their hearts.

If WOTLK doesn’t at least keep making a mediocre profit by the time Cata comes out, then I doubt they will care how people feel.

none cares about naxx on toc or icc patch and its fine
that raid is a recycled raid anyway its completely fine for it to be dead

what i expect from wotlk+ is classbalance and maybe some new content

Sad to say but with the way that servers are being handled now while wrath is still in progress I dobut they’d keep anything mpre than the bare minimum :frowning:

It’s not, Vanilla was the most popular.

Honestly, I wouldn’t say WoTLK is very “Classic” either. Sure it was pre-sundering. But look at how it’s played and the game philosophy. It’s basically where the game became “end-game is the only game, screw everything else”.

Which is why people are so resistent to Blizzard trying to stick to their “Classic pillars” design.

Personally I think they are going to keep going with no extra static realms added for any expansion, all the way until they catch up with the retail expansion.

This is what I thought in my previous thread

Would they then close or end Classic (while keeping Era) and then merge it with the retail?

Since we are talking 8-10 years or more down the line, I think they will just start from scratch again, it’s probably the only way we will get fresh progression realms from the start.

Blizzard should make Wotlk Reforged ERA and Cataclysm Reforged.
This is the best solution.

Who wants to play Shadowlands Classic?

Only expansion I would be interested in playing after Wrath would be MoP. If they could somehow skip the rest I would be ok with that.

But yes, in my humble old man opinion Classic ends after Wrath.

MoP was fun, it had amazing class design. I wish I could play my BM monk or Disc priest again… even survival was still a rdps.

Not to hijack this thread but I have a lv 70 on classic - never played Wotlk and would love to try and attempt Ulduar - how long before I can gear for it realistically?

You saw what happent to classic era servers.

Even if WOTLK gets era servers they will be dead and deserted since everyone will move on to the next new thing
