WoW when launching from Bnet is forcing Win 7 to Basic visuals everytime, I saw a fix posted by changing config file setting on US forums but it did not work.
Any idea how to stop this happening, I am using DX11 on Win 7 on this PC, don’t have issues with DX12 on my Win 10 laptop.
This is a Windows Problem not a Blizzard Problem. You’d be better off advised to reach out to Microsoft.
However, Windows 7 does drop you down to “Basic Visuals” as you call it, whenever it decides that you have insufficient video RAM to remain on High Quality Visuals.
BNet is not forcing Windows to do anything. Windows is forcing Windows.
Actually it is a known issue with Bnet/WoW/Win7 after an update in 2019, I found people having same issues and Blizz gave out a solution, this did not work for myself though.
Is not a VRAM issue as I have more than plenty.
