Windows 10 flickering when playing WoW with HDR and Directx12

Hi,
So I’ve just installed a brand new fresh install on a new computer, on which I have the latest drivers on everything possible since the OS install is literally a few days old.

I’ve encountered a weird bug where playing WoW with HDR enabled in windows, and using DirectX12, if I alt tab out of the game, or quit the game, windows itself has a very serious flickering issue, to the point where you cannot use things like the task manager.

I’ve found a workaround where if you press ctrl+alt+del, and then click on “switch user”, and just log back in, it will fix this. It seems to have something to do with taking focus from WoW and back, and this removing the HDR effect in game, as you can easily tell a difference in colours in game when this happens.

I am a raid leader and I need to be able to alt tab out of the game, but I’m loathe to turn off HDR as the game looks quite amazing with it enabled.

Any help would be amazing. I’ll put my system specs to follow, in case they matter.

Ryzen 5 3600, MSI Tomahawk Max motherboard, 16gb ram, GTX 1070 video card, game is installed on a m.2 ssd, and the monitor is a LG 43" tv, model: LG 43UM7100. Windows 10 installed three days ago, with up to date drivers on everything from motherboard’s bios to video card drivers.

WoW does not support HDR.
So whatever you are seeing is not real HDR.
The HDR support in Windows is also very bad.
