This specific video really changed my perspective of the Windrunner sisters. Even Sylvanas!
The High elven army got ready to fight the Amani, while some of them got ready to fight the Orcs.
Sylvanas was leading against the Amani fight, while Alleria was leading against the Orc fight.
Before the Windrunner sisters left:
Vereesa: let me come with you. I want to do something for Quel’thelas.
Alleria: listen to me… go back to our parents. They need you. If I cannot come back with Sylvanas, you have to take good care of the family for us.
Vereesa: no that won’t happen! You will be fine
Alleria: and Lirath I don’t know if his fencing has grown

A leaf falls on Alleria’s hand, as she looks up into the sky.
Lirath was fishing in Windrunner village when the village got attacked Heavily by Orcs.
Lirath, aunts and uncles, and 17 cousins died. A few remained from the Windrunner family
It was as if the leaf that fell on Alleria’s hand hinted to the fall of the Windrunner family.
Of course we all know Alleria would not see her family for 1000 years (time works differently in the twisting nether) and everyone assumed she was dead.
So in a way, that leaf falling could mean to show the Sister’s last moments together. As when they met in the future, it wasn’t a pleasant meeting.
