It’s actually crazy to me that windwalker is getting buffed. a lot of fotm players already rerolled it, and with the coming frost dk nerfs even more to come. windwalker is already insane in pvp and doesn’t need any buffs whatsoever, literally any pvper I talked to said they were hoping for ww nerfs. Yet you buff them 8%? where do you even get these ideas from?
I been a windwalker main and I played it for 5 minutes and it’s so ridiculously op it’s even too boring to play, same with arms warriors and frost mages, literally no brainer classes and you leave them alone or buff them, but then the specs nobody is ever playing cause everyone is playing fotm specs. you ignore those? makes no sense

Fof doing already 1m5 per tick :s
Ww is insane as long as you got uptime, very hard to kill as well idk what devs are thinking but it is what it is, no kings rule forever and the next one could be ww.

Well, all I can say is for PvE its a nerf by roughly 7-11% depending on if the aura buff is added with the last change or just changed from 5% to 8%. (conduit)
The tier set that were nerfed (which is why its a nerf for PvE) also got the nerf in PvP. Hitting a PvP dummy did not reduce the duration of the CDR but the haste were nerfed correctly. So I assume the duration were not impacted by PvP aura. I can be wrong with this.
But if it isnt, that would mean its going from 8sec to 4sec duration which is still strong but not stupid OP.
But I would be interested to know if theres any information on how insane WW monks currently is in PTR for PvP.
Would atleast give some more reason to why you believe the 8% is crazy.

it´s unfun to play against ww monks, they are even easier to play in tww than in df
the dmg what they do in 2s feels unhealable, in 3s idk have only seen warris and jumping eles/dhs

WW monks in S2 were def abit too high in terms of dmg when they were on you. Thats how I felt when I played my own to get my free 1800 set.
But man were it annoying when you face double evoker (dev/aug) + mage or mage/lock/ret combos. I for sure played some of those lobbies wrongly, but sometimes when you end up playing 20% of the game but you are still either close or higher dmg than the rest you know something is wrong. On open maps.
I understand blizz wants the game to be fast, but they need to understand its not PvE.
PvP do not need all these micro CCs that dont even break that much (lol). Im still confused why they even added it when that was not the biggest issue.

Some specs received pages of changes this patch.
Some got multiple 20–30% buffs to multiple abilities.
In comparison, WW:
- Has a history of scaling poorly with gear
- Often gets damage buffs in major patches, but that rarely pushes it to the top
- Got a last-minute bandaid damage buff this time, with no other significant changes. Literally 0 changes
I’ve played WW as my main since MoP, and I will keep playing it, but I seriously thought about rerolling next season.
Why?
- This season, WW performed pretty good in arenas, largely due to its strong damage output. But ultimately, the spec lacks real depth. You’re mostly just rotating damage and hoping dampening or your teammates carry the match
- Next season, a dozen of specs get absurd buffs, while WW stays the same. Hope the 8% bandaid buff will help
In Solo Shuffle Blitz, it struggled this season. I would easily put it in C or D tier. Reasons:
- Has low CC. Laughable comparing to hunters, druids, mages, rogues, etc…
- Can’t steal bases
- While it brings solid damage, there are many other specs that offer similar or better damage along with additional tools like stealth, strong CC, or utility. Just look at Rets, if they’re doing the same damage as WW on the meters, there’s virtually no reason to bring a WW instead
Maybe I’m wrong and WW will turn out to be very strong, or even OP, but based on what I see, it doesn’t seem likely.
What I don’t quite understand is why some people are already reacting so strongly to an 8% damage buff, as if it’s going to completely shift the meta overnight.
yeh bm’s also getting a flat 3% nerf to both pvp and pve its insame…makes 0 sense these buffs and nerfs…
bm hunter always has this issue when it comes to mid to end season when everyone has same ilvl
oh i seriously disagree, paralyse is MILES better then hoping the opponent dosent move from or forgets where your trap is freezing trap is WAY worse than paralysis
i think because of shuffle when warris bladestorm or feral brutal slash, they should have changed the trehshold for “not high doing aoe damage spells”
but idk, i wish they going away from the aoe dmg in general…
The only thing they needed to do in that case is just make it so the AoE do not hit those targets. One example being for rets with blinding light. Just make it so Judgement doesnt hit if they are in it. Or any unless you target them.
Its extremely frustrating to loose 20-40% of your HP in a CC in general and you cant rly do anything about it.
They cant since that would mean they have to change skills how they work based on PvP.
Since that could be implied that specs should not be multi-dotting etc.
What they could do, is just remove the threshold for micro-ccs since ppl should have to make a decision if they want the CC to keep staying or not. It shouldnt be used as another stun. I personally believe the game became alot worse when they made it like that.
Can honestly say ive started to loose more interest in PvP since I played my WW seeing all the micro-ccs and dumb dmg, seen all kinds of wintraders (prot paladins as an example) allowed to brag and flex while nothing was done for entire DF until now in terms of punishment, blizz not punishing certain ppl for griefing and more.
Que syncers in BGs.
Like, everything is infected with something that makes me loose interest. Just makes me sad. But I will atleast lvl abit on MoP classic even if I might not PvP that much. Just doing something else than retail when I dont play m+/raid.
But I will atleast get the elite weapons next season since those weapons do look nice. But thats not that difficult.
can relate to it
yep
i mean couldnt they just nerf aoe dmg in pvp by 99% and buff single target dmg instead?
mop isnt good either, devs using their stinky unwashed hands. to do retail changes like the base 63% resiliance change
I dont think they can since too many skills AoE dmg is the “baseline” and not single target which spreads out to other targets.
Which kinda means theres not a “main target” for alot of skills. Just pure AoE.
They would never change it to be “less dmg if you target more than 1” for those kinds of skills.
Not sure how good it would be either to basically nerf every single AoE and just buff ST. Feels like too many specs would be like Arms/fury if so.
Well, im lvling my monk to do some casual MW/WW and some PvE prob.
Hunter CC Toolkit (BM/Surv/MM):
- Intimidation – 3 sec stun (ranged, from pet). Reliable and instant.
- Freezing Trap – 6 sec incapacitate (PvP talent reduces to 4 sec but makes it immune to damage like Cyclone, undispellable). Insanely strong in battlegrounds.
- Scatter Shot – 3 sec disorient (breaks on damage). Basically monk’s Paralysis.
- Binding Shot – AoE 3 sec stun (triggers if target moves). Weaker version of Leg Sweep, but can be combo’d with knockbacks to force activation.
- Counter Shot – 3 sec silence only if used while enemy is casting. Think of it as monk’s Paralysis, but only works on casters and with tighter timing. Lower cooldown though. Its not the same as melee interrupt, much better.
- Knockbacks (like Explosive Trap or Bursting Shot) – real knock tools that can one shot players (e.g., off ledges). Like Ring of Peace, but on steroids.
Compare to Monk
- Paralysis – 3 sec incapacitate, 20 yards, basically useless in team fights since it only dispells dots.
- Leg Sweep – 4 sec AoE stun. Actually pretty strong in BGs, not gonna lie.
- Another casted, cone-shaped incapacitate. Situational, unreliable and hard to land. Noone picks it.
Honestly, when I play BGs on my MM hunter, I’m just facerolling with busted damage. But if I actually take the time to focus on using my CC properly, it starts to feel like I’m cheating. The amount of control you have comparing to WW is absurd.
And then boomkin… I’m literally rotating Cyclones on both enemy healers, locking them out of the game, while doing double the DPS of my WW monk. It’s not even close.

while true, it has 1 MAJOR flaw, the fact that you cant just drop it on top of some1 its thrown so in other wards you need either have the target rooted/stunned, hope they dont move or hope they run into it later while moving form something else.
really wish there was a better design for the traps all 4, also intimidate requires a pet and for that and the pet to be able to reach the target, in addition binding shot is no longer a stun it was changed to be a root.
also your wrong on counter shot its a kin to your interrupt except ranged
20-40%?
I got hit by a blinding light by a holy paladin when playing feral.
I got hit by aimed shot + chaos bolt at the same time. I went from 100% to dead and I couldn’t even do anything nor my healer, was spamming surival instincts in hope I’d get it off.
Damage just needs to get toned down, a lot.
yeh this is way more common in arena and solo shuffle if you get caught in cc with no trinket ur dead, blizz arent nerfing the correct things, instead of flat nerfing bm hunter and black arrow for mm they should be nerfing chaos bolt and aimed shot
and be4 any1 spurts out with just interrupt the chaos bolt dummy, its mathematically impossible to interrupt everything without a bot, aimed shot and chaos bot can be casted way more then a for of cc is available
All specs are easy these days, except rogue. I cant master that class, but still easy. But rogue; I am to old for that
As long as frost mage exists, 8% of 0 uptime is still 0 uptime.
Frost mage is final boss, now you kill targets you already killed 8% faster.
