Windwalker needs attention

I have typed multiple posts now about the state of Windwalker in The War Within and the bugs that are decreasing our dmg and the changes i would like to see to the spec but up untill this day there has been 0 communication from blizzards side about any of it. We have seen Windwalker being mentioned 3 times in blue posts since the launch of this expansion.
The first time was when you gutted Darting Hurricane, The second time was when you buffed Blackout kick which still does 0% damage and flurry of xuen which is still worse then hit combo in ever form of content and the last time was this week with a bug that has been reported on since the beta but now affected the only monk spec you guys know about (mistweaver) so now it finally was fixed for windwalker.

With that being said this will be my last post because it feels like typing to a wall because ever forum post every piece of feedback windwalkers give to blizzard falls on deaf ears. The amount of bugs reported by us involving Storm, earth and fire is insane and there hasnt been a single fix to it. Storm earth and Fire dont work with talents that increase our damage which you guessed right decreases our damage, Theorycrafters have these bugs around a 6% damage decrease in single target. So why does this take so long? you guys were quick to fix the bugs that increased our damage during SeF like flurry of xuen and conduit of the celestials but when they decrease our damage it takes ages?
I would really love to see these issues fixed.

Then for the other issues you guys updated Shado-pan to unleash the flurries at 240 energy instead of 300. But for me the issues still remain, The herotalent tree is still boring and uninspired, Against all odds still stacks to 20 which you will never reach, Its still RNG, High impact still does 0 damage.
And now Conduit of the celestials is even worse then before because its still split damage instead of just reduced beyond 5 targets. The damage is also quite low and the celestials itself could use a really mayor buff.

Now for the damage, i think windwalker has been the first talent reworked spec that has not been close to or be meta since you guys started reworking talent trees. Its even worse then it was before regarding damage, Dont get me wrong playstyle wise i really like the new talents but damage wise its just sad. The single target is okayish in my opinion but my biggest issue is our AOE. Its just bad, its low, its rng and its worse then most tanks can pull in M+. If you look at ovinax in the raid we are in the lowest 3 specs in the entire game.
What i would like to see is some talents being reworked to help our lackluster aoe, Jade-firestomp can just be removed and can get some talents that help us in aoe. Like hell give me back calculated strikes if you dont want to buff the baseline damage increase of Mark of the crane from 18% to like 25-28%. Increase the damage of FoF to secondary targets from like 54%-70-75%. Increase crackling jade lightnings damage by like 50%, Make high impact so that all flurry strikes are AOE and give the debuff. Make Strike of the Windlord do reduced damage beyond 5 targets instead of split damage. Give us the Risingwinds kick talent that Mistweavers got, Make Conduit of the Celestials reduced beyond 5 targets and buff the celestials themselves.
These are just some ideas but there are alot of great ideas on these forums here and in the NA side even in the discord or on twitter, But please just give us some attention. The blackout kick talents are also all just dead talents because they are so insanely weak and blackout kick is just there to sometimes reduce the cd of fof or rsk.

With 11.0.7 on the horizon its the perfect time to re-rework some of the glaring Windwalker issues in my opinion and get us ready for season 2 of the war within. You guys removed bonedustbrew and AOE touch of death and promised us twice to put back the power of AOE in our base abilities which you never did. So keep that promise and do something about it, there are more specs to monk then just Mistweaver. We need the attention same as brew does.

I hope to see some changes with the 11.0.7 patch being released on the ptr tonight, but after this expansion launch im not that hopefull anymore that you guys will recognize these issues and give this spec the attention it needs. Which is sad because alot of people enjoy this spec even if they only played it once because its unique and has a good flow to it. With that being said buff our AOE BY ALOT, give us some ST love and please for the love of god just fix the buggs man its been too long now.

I agree with you 100%, the AOE of the monk is a tragedy, even if you kill it, itā€™s really only and exclusively when you burn everything you can and thatā€™s really for a moment. The monk lags behind other classes in AOE on big pulls terribly, usually by about 40%, which makes the monkā€™s capabilities low when it comes to playing at the level of the mythic and mythic+10 raid and higher. If not damage, nothing else will tempt players to consider taking the monk to the party for keys. Even a buff to physical damage wonā€™t give them, because 9 out of 10 classes deal non-physical damage, so such a monk is unnecessary for them. Iā€™ve been playing a monk since Battle of Azeroth and I have the impression that after the rework, the monk has become excluded and Blizzard doesnā€™t give a damn about it at all. Finally do something about AOE damage on the monk and stop ignoring us players. There are only a handful of us left who play ww monk and you still harass us by taking away the buffs to spinning crane kick from 300% back to 200% and last year you buffed it because ww monk wasnā€™t able to play and itā€™s the same again. We, WW monk players, are calling on you for a buff and interest! Not in a year, but NOW! #WWMONKPROTEST!

Iā€™m mainly a MW player, but I often play WW in raids and sometimes in m+ so Iā€™m not the greatest DPS, but I still feel like my damage is lacking, and not just because I suck as a WW.

I do well in ST, and I think monk is ā€˜fineā€™ in that regard. Not the best, hell, probably below average, but not to a point Iā€™d call WW unplayable in ST. But in AoE, oh boy, its bad. No matter what I do, it feels like itā€™s impossible to break through 4m dps on a pull, even a big one. I can burn all my CDā€™s, guzzle a potion, smash my keyboard like a lunatic, and still do maybe twice the usual dps on a pack. Iā€™m not an expert so I canā€™t say which abilities are undertuned, but in my opinion itā€™s the awful RNG of SCK. What does it matter that I burn my cooldowns when I donā€™t get a single proc (besides the guaranted ones)? Other classes somehow can have a semi-reliable procs and dish out gazzilion dps in a few seconds when monks play like a lottery, one time doing amazing damage, other times basically wasting cdā€™s. With Shado-Pan on top, itā€™s RNG in top of RNG on top of RNG to do reliable AoE damage.

And as a mainly MW player in m+, I say our utility is SH*T! Not just for MW but all monk specs! What does a monk brings to the party? Mystic Touch? Who are we kidding, almost nobody in this game does pure physical damage anymore. Not even monks! Itā€™s less than 1% boost for a regular group, if even that. AoE stun? Paralyze? Sooth? There are many classes that do the same, and on top with other abilities that monks lack. Our only truly unique utility I can think of is Ring of Peace and Transcendence. And donā€™t get me wrong, RoP is amazing and I love it, but a druidā€™s Vortex is basically the same thing, and Transcendence is a niche utility only Brewmasters use regularly.

There are six healer classes in the game. Of those six, 2 have lust and 2 have battle ress. Only monks and priests donā€™t have any ā€˜bigā€™ utility. And of those two, priests at least bring a 5% stamina buff, which is incomparable to our measly Mystic Touch. Thereā€™s a reason monks are the least represented class in m+. We are the worst tank, the bottom tier healer, and sh*t dps. Thereā€™s almost no incentive to bring a monk instead of any other class to a key, and the only reason Brews are in mythic raiding is because despite being almost nothing in terms of buff, Mystic Touch still is something and as such is seeing play in a content as min-maxed as mythic raiding.

In conclusion, please, for the love of all that is good, give monks something substantial to bring to a group. Or, if that would make monks too ā€œOPā€, buff our damage and healing at least. I love healing as a MW, and our recent changes to CJL were great, but we still struggle in high keys (not to mention despite being a ā€˜throughputā€™ healer, weā€™re doing the worst in HPS), we still do sh*t damage as WW, we still feel like a DK without the self healing as Brews.

Totally agree. Monk feels very bad now. AOE damage like tank damage, ST is ā€œfineā€.
I have closed all 11 keys and 2 12, more then week i waste time for find 12 key, noone take monk coz monk have zero aoe dps and zero utilities.
We need huge up AOE, little bit ST and one of utilities CR or BL.
Hope blizzard hear us because now all promiseā€™s since DF is broken

Damage on boss a.k.a ST damage is not fine indeed it is bottom 8 over 26 spec wich is better than the bottom 3 we used to be but it is no near to be ā€œfineā€ as people say.

Dont worry guys we will get the buffs at the end of season 2 :slight_smile:
But yes i agree monk has too much rng in its best hero talent and outside our RNG the dmg is lackluster

WW has the least amount of RNG of almost all specs - can you high-roll? Yes ofc but the standard deviation for shadopan is 2.6 and 3.2 for conduit.

The lowest is 2.4 for Warlock. Thatā€™s pretty good.
Its sim DPS and actual DPS seen in raid needs to be addressed.

WW since BFA - and played several m+ seasons to a decent level.
Aoe has never felt this bad, having 615 enhancement shamans out dps my 633 monk feels horrible

Please buff WW AoE. Every big pull of a dungeon i just fall so far behind, its not even funny
