I was reading article about winterspring being instanced epic BG with cross-realm function. One team winning WG will ensure the buff and VoA …

Does it mean that the buff will have 100% up time ? How will it work on a server with both factions ? Both factions could have the buff ? Could this lead to the point when WG will be AFK fest ?

Dont you think that this goes against , classic spirit , ? And it is caused by - blizzard not caring about server population.

On one hand they are trying to push their ideas of game, on the other hand they are totally contradicting themselves.

WG was an AFK fest in WOTLK retail. It was extremely unbalanced and unfair and frustrating on many/most servers. So whatever they do here I don’t think they can make it worse. Maybe, just maybe, they will succeed in making it fun.

  • Close to 100% uptime, as it requires only 1 person winning, it might happen at some point for everyone on a given server to lose the battle. Exception is dead faction on the server. People AFK-ing in bg’s is not something new.

  • Not really. Ideally you’d have balanced factions on servers and WG contained on the server only, but truth is the vast majority simply don’t want that as shown since forever. It happened on the original releases and retail and it happened on classic.
    There was just no other way to make WG work as intended when almost all the servers are 1 faction only and super populated. If they didn’t make it instanced, you’d have only 2-3% of the people who queue get in and have no one but a few NPCs to fight against. There’s no kind of spirit in that.
