Can we please get rid of this “epic” bg? It’s the same as Ashran. Total waste of half an hour and the attacking faction NEVER wins unless the defending one is completly afk.
Tanks 2shot players, you can outrun them, you can kill them without having 10 other players, direct combat is so rare, I almost thought the game bugged out when I saw a guy not sitting in a tank but trying to chase me down.
But current Ashran is the most PVP epic bg out of the 4.
AV is just players against final boss and maybe little pvp in towers/bunkers
IoC is just PVP at the docks for the first 2 mins followed by PVE against base and boss the rest of the time
Wintergrasp does have quite a bit of PVP but the epic bg is ruined by attacking side being mostly on losing side.
Ashran on the other hand is just constant pvp down the middle road, I know the bg changed a lot from what it once was but I still don’t get why people don’t like it much and call it worst one? Is it that they don’t want to pvp and just want to mostly pve to get honor?
I know if the opposite team is a lot better it sucks as the entire game becomes a dying simulator but thats a player problem.

alliance wipes them and kills tower mage

and do not get me started about the failure of rbg when ppl rather midfight and lose
this is the last and only elite set im ever farming haha
Idk much about trashran , needs to be tuned.
They should buff objectives by a large margin and make AV great again

Dont forget the mages. Horde Mage just hits you with a knowback that pushes you back to the alliance base while the alliance mage just puts himself into an iceblock.
In Ashran you can win very easily as alliance. Take your entire group and just go walking the coast around the island into their base. Before coming too close, use the multiple stealth pvp ability to hide yourselves and rush in and nuke their boss.
That’ll be 5000g for the tip.
i like the idea of wintergrasp. but its extremely poorly balanced. Its not made to be a battleground just like ashran. Its a open world pvp zone wich got poorly translated.
The defender wins nearly all games, and from my experience the alliance is always on the offense. this is why i leave about 75% of the time when i enter wintergrasp. because i am always on the offenseive side.
ashran kind of works the way it is. but wintergrasp really needs to be looked at. But the epic battlegrounds in general need more variation since the dumb decision to separate them from the other bgs. 4 ebgs is not much variation , wich makes it extremely frustrating to get WG over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. only to join on the offensive side and get farmed for 30 minutes
Either bring back the “lock bg” or please just remove wintergrasp. i like the environment, but being globaled by a demo is just not worth to be a battleground. Before u could do AV and Isle of Conquest… now all i can do is either Ashran or Wintergrasp… this is just SAD.
lol. Ashran is actually fun. But I agree that wintergrasp should be removed. I did win an attack today (within 10 minutes even, got the cheevo), also lost a defense. This ebg has always been terribly unbalanced, and it just got worse with the demo nerf.
A lot of classes are pretty hard to kill with a demo if they decide to melee you though.

My ashran win/loss is actually quite balanced. In BfA this was like 80% winrate as horde. This dropped to about 60% winrate for me in SL. I did do a few merc Ashrans and won a few.
Just the flower most of the time.
You have a fair chance of winning, even when losing the docks.
Then you haven’t been playing wintergrasp attacks since prepatch. As defender you’re practically half afk farming the spawn points. As attacker you’re practically half afk getting farmed, and there’s no way to speed up any of this beyond 35 minutes of enduring.
