hey,
i want to leave some thoughts here regarding an updated version of raid/party frames.
- Overshields
Im playing a healer, mostly disc priest and I have an addon that shows Overshields which is a visual display of the absorb amount if the unit is full hp. Even for healers without significant absorbs themselves want to know how much AMS from DK or Barrier from Mage accounts for. I think this is crucial and would be the most important feature to have for the frames.
- Targeted Spells
So yeah, I dont know how far youre willing to take this but since youre already showing it for default nameplates in Midnight I think theres a chance to get this for frames too.
This is something probably mostly useful for M+ but also PvP. Anyways, I think its very much important to see who is getting casted on/targeted by to be able to react accordingly considering most stuff oneshots on high levels in M+ this is a must have for healers and dps. Atleast for current season.
- Active defensive cooldowns
Ok first off all, the icons are way too small on the frames. Maybe a size slider? Ok, so defensives. I would love to display active defensives more prominent on the frames. If you keep current placement for buffs and debuffs you could show major defensives TOP CENTER of the frames. So its not clumped up with the others buffs BOTTOM RIGHT. Would be a nice placement to spot it right away if someone uses so we dont overlap.
- Sorting
I know there is sorting already. Group, Role, Alphabetical. But what if I (as a healer) want to be top? This currently works only if i sort by group + being leader. I just want to be on top, tank 2nd and then dps in a random order lol. Not a big deal but yeah, some more sorting options would be cool.
Ok, thats it. First 3 things are most important to me from a healer POV.
Ok, one more thing xd Maybe an option to hide names and role icons? Not a big deal either, can hide it with some code but yeah, would be nice nonetheless!
Thank you and I’m very excited for the final Midnight UI changes. I think youve done a great job with bossmod timeline and nameplates already!
