If you are so eager to play like “when we were younger” then realise the game pace wasn’t as absurdly fast as it is now. That’s a first.
Then no you are not playing as we used to do, because you use too many addons.
You lose the parents players, you lose the confort to find people easily for whatever you plan to do in this game.
Or maybe you folks like to stay in queue for ages and start raiding an hour after beginning first announcement on both /world and /LookingForGroup channel because you couldn’t find that last healer/tank ?
Because this might be all that will happen to you after all if you dump everyone like this.
Normal turtle speed classic is still right there. Nothing keeping u away from it.
Sod phases have 2-3 weeks worth of content before they become stale. We all know the real sod experience begins at 60. Hopefully that phase will be quite long.
Phase 1 was dreadfully long. Ph2 has even less content and even worse pvp so I’m hella happy that it’s over.
Thats the difference between the new generation we have new tech and more IQ than you old timers thats why everything is “fast” for you, for us its slow.
PS: you dad gamers are less than the classic andies community hardly 2% of the whole community
I dont disagree with what you wrote, but that very same “head of the curb” is what these players compare themselfs with when feeling they have “fallen behind” or need to “catch up”.
There’s nothing stopping nobody from enjoying this game at their own pace, other than the fact that they are comparing their under average playtime with people who sit and play most of the day. Was any content removed as we moved forward to Phase 2? No.
Accepting, however, that you cant be in the middle of relevant content, is something that people who cant put in the average playtime should do instead of thinking that a whole game, and the developers plan, should halt until they feel “ready” (whatever that means these days).
I want to be a bodybuilder but cant put in the time, so gyms should be time gated, or perhaps I should lower my expectations? BuT I PaY a gYmCard.
Even with both eyes closed i will still react faster than you dad gamers it takes you 1hour to realise you are standing in the fire and you need to move while us the younger people move before the fire is placed on the ground, that is the difference and thats why we don’t play with you loosers

Blizzard is the one deciding for whom they create their content, every big gaming company is using metric tools and you can guess what their numbers say based on the rate of new content
Absolutely disagree with the premise that it’s moving too fast for the majority of working people / adults. I’d say you’d have to be on the extreme low end of the scale to not have run out of most relevant content by now. That is, unless you’re one of the brave souls that enjoy minmaxing everything even if your time doesn’t allow for it.
There’s always gonna be an “optimal” amount of time to put into a game, and people on either end of the curve are gonna be unhappy.
Blizzard has the player numbers - they can see the trends of the playerbase and I’m pretty sure they’re releasing P3 at a good time statistically.
