Hi, I have been playing WoW since vanilla. I have played mostly on rogue and warlock. My favourite activities in this game have been battlegrounds, world pvp and duels. I have geared my toons in raids and doing weekly arena caps. I also enjoy doing mythic+ content. Anyway I am no way a "high end" player, but a casual one and that is my perspective in this post.
So wlock is supposed to be a tanky caster. Currently it is not virtually that tanky at all, compared to the amount of damage it takes. It has hardly any mobility in pvp. Lastly, wlocks are too easy to shut down. Stuns are nasty for anyone (well except maybe mages), but in addition there are also incapacitates, silences, interrupts and line of sight. All in all that sums into wlocks dying with hardly any chance to fight back.
So here's what I suggest. I think wlock should be more like hunter. It is a ranged class, but it cannot be interrupted nor silenced + hunters have mobility making them able to survive longer than our tanky caster. Warlocks' dmg spells should imo also be uninterruptabe and some spells like UA could be instant. Chaosbolt could still have cast time, but uninterruptable and castable while moving. In addition wlocks could have some sort of defensive cd on 30sec cd like rogues for example. Something that makes them last little longer along with the changes that actually allow them to fight back/play the game.
In the end I don't actually care how Blizzard does it, but I'd love to be able to enjoy the warmode, duels, battlegrounds and other content on my wlock.
Luckily for me there is one good fix in the horizon for wlocks and that is incoming Classic.

If you played since Vanilla then your fix with "incoming classic" is not the way...Even though affliction was great in BG's.
Currently classic is the best fix for me, but I must say that I'd also like Blizz to fix wlocks in current retail. The current iteration of wlocks is not enjoyable, for me anyway.
