So, I’ve got a question. And maybe someone has an explanation or opinion on it.

Warlords of Draenor, Garrison. You have the Tannery. If you upgrade to level 2, you can add a follower to this Tannery who will sell you tents.

What I don’t understand is, why have they made it so that you can only possess 5 tents, they’re only up for 5 minutes, and they’re only useable on Draenor…
I mean, for the game in general, I might get it, but to have them a bit longer or to be able to carry more and useable everywhere, would be amazing for the RP community!

Or am I being an idiot here for not understanding this?

nah, just blizz design to restrict you as much as possible

see also: literally every appereance changing toy, or any other flavourful thing that has a 1-5min use time with a several hour long CD

(it’s also in their design philosophy to restrict expansion-specific stuff to the expansion-specific areas)

Starting to think it goes a bit further as well. They seem to genuinely hate their -players- in general.

I only looked these up now and oh-my-god what are they doing, making these temporary?

Would be great and bad if you could make them last longer, imagine if a griefer/troll caught wind of long lasting tents n worse yet multiple long lasting tents, double edged sword.

Wouldnt have a clue im not on Horde much admittedly
edit: I could see griefers abusing the crud out of long lasting or multiple long lasting tents though, however that being said, they dont need long lasting tents to grief, and long lasting/multiple long lasting tents could make for an amazing war camp vybe somewhere, or just general camp rp.
