WoD was better than BFA!

Both were dreadful.

I have no rose-tinted glasses looking back on either. WoD was a catastrophic failure that killed their playerbase and BFA was the start of another one that they’re still trying to claw their way back from.
WoD was a nasty mix of scrapping an ambitious project halfway to cut corners and some terrible design decisions.

WoD was amazing

i had my own home, i had really good PvP. i wasnt forced to grind, alt friendly

BFA sucked, azerite, necklace farm, gear in pve for pvp, alts no catch up for 8 months

Same pets. Same mounts. They’re on the same account.

I dont care about PVP in the slightest

You wouldn’t say that you’re rabid for your opponent’s blood?

The game really started going downhill midway through legion imo. Since ive started playing other game my opinion of wow has dropped significantly. The open world is empty, group content is inaccessible to a vast majority of players, the community is probably one of the worst out there (besides pvp fps or dota games), the story is so far from what it used to be it’s almost a crime and its become quite apparent that the people in charge dont really care anymore.

No. That happened right before the end of Legion. Legion was the last great and to this day probably the best wow exp ever, imo undoubtedly the best. I played it a lot, I mean really a lot, and I’m sad that I didn’t play it more.

I’ve been playing wow since MoP, and as my first exp it carries special memories, WoD also as my first retail exp, but Legion is the pinnacle of wow for me in every sense. That’s why the decline after Legion is not a surprise for me. Just like in real life, when you reach the top, you can’t go higher, you can only stay there or fall faster or slower. Wow fell, but like anyone it can rise again. But climbing back to the top is not easy ie it depends on how deep you’ve fallen and whether you actually want to get back on top.

You mean worst.

if you think legion was bad, then you are probably asmongold having PTSDs on artifact power and random legendaries.

I mean what I said, and I said what most people have been saying for years, that WotLK is the best exp of “old” wow and Legion is the best of “modern” wow. After all the numbers also confirm this.

I liked WOD, it was like half an expansion’s worth of content and the story got scrapped and rushed tho, not the worst expansion but the most disappointing.

Both had their own problems. WOD was too boring and more like Single-player style with Garrison and BFA had awful gearing problems every single patch with RNGs and Benetic gears and corruptions. Lore wise i give it to WOD but content wise BFA was better. At the end of the line both were sub-optimal expansions.

Maybe.

Easier doesn’t mean better. Both had good raids btw, but I think BFA had better ones, and also had more.

I think I agree. WoD was a bunch of nothing, and BFA was just frustrating and destructive.

Major disagree. Easier yes (but once again, that doesn’t make it better), but BFA had way above average dungeons, while WoD’s selection was both small and kind of meh.

As someone who did both, this is completely false.

Farming gold? Bad argument. Also, neither had all that great daily content, but BFA at least had much more to choose from. I liked Mechagon and the 8.3 things.

Overall, really weak argument, and also, who cares. Second and third worst expansions.

Shadowlands was better than legion

Ironically, WoD had a great silver lining because the lack of content either pushed people into playing alts or not feel like missing out when going on a break from WoW.
