Can Worgens be necromancers?
anyone that can use spooky magic can be a necromancer.
that said why would a people who so fervently despise the undead want to be necromancers?

I was more thinking of the Arugal Worgen from Northrend. I’m working on some stuff with that for a campaign and seeing how they were never fully gotten rid off they might get into some skelly stuff

That’s another thing. How different is a Death Knight, from just an average brainless undead or a forsaken ( not that there is much of a difference if you know what I mean )
They got more power, more magic, more saronite (usually), more freedom and a runic blade.
They be rockin’ it.
Zombies (Forsaken) were fodder. Their numbers were their strength, along with the initial shock and horror of mortals facing their undead loved ones. As such they didn’t need any power beyond what they had possessed in life, coupled with their burning hate for life and no mortal limitations (food, rest etc.), but they were “only” the drudges meant to be thrown at the living by the dozens.
Death Knights were battlefield commanders and the vanguard in high-risk tactics. They were outfitted with runeblades, empowered with dark magics to wield in war, and were just stronger all around than the rank and file meat of the Scourge. With the exception of the DKs who were made of already-rotten Forsaken, they were also returned in a highly preserved state.
They also retained their intelligence and (generally) their personalities, which made them leagues more dangerous than most undead.
