did you craft the Worgen Heritage armor in 2 min, because it’s suppose to be a “Worgen” heritage armor, right? should be design for Worgens, but funny thing the gear is awful, boots looks hideous, but what annoys me the most is that the tophat is all glitchy and buggy, Worgen’s ears goes through the lower part of the tophat how can you make mistakes like that when it was made for the race? blizzard comon xD how can u do a heritage like that it’s awful.
Actually, the hat clipping is on all hats
And yeah, its pretty bleh
But the top hat
I can live with most of the Worgen Heritage armour, apart from two things.
The Hat. Yes, Top Hats for Worgen, totally! They are what a gentleman would wear about town…
About Town…
Not in a Warzone…
The SHoulders don’t match, fortunately there are other shoulders in game that do, and you can mix and match which pieces of the Heritage sets you use.
I like the frockcoat, though would have preferred the Kul Tiran type, I -like- the little Rose on the lapel, reminds me of a story far too long to tell here, but basically about a German thinking that Poppies for Rememberance Sunday were a ‘British Symbol’.
Nobody wears a Top Hat into battle however, apart from Joseph Porta from the Sven Hassel books…
All sets are modeled on Human Male unfortunately. Though interestingly, most seem to fit best on Draenei Female. Seeing as heritage armours are only for one race, they REALLY should model it on that race.
tfw when your heritage sits better on your human form more than your worgen form when you’re playing a worgen
I begin to wonder if the people reading the feed back or forums even exist on EU or US given there was feed back even on third party websites like Reddit and we are getting that -garbage-.
Also Ironically we had people at the WoW Q&A during blizzcon who were too busy making small talk and exploring their own questions and the forums literally got cucked entirley more or less.
Lets start it again!
Horde favoritism! They don’t bother making good alliance stuff!
Well to be fair it’s the worst heritage armor so far, and it’s on an alliance race.
Add it to the list.
it was all about the blood elfs on Blizzcon
As it should be.
I kid, I kid, Gnomes and Tauren armour is absolute Beast. Blood Elf is awesome if it matches your concept, NB looks good, Mag’har too, Velf keeps the feeling, Lightforged, ehh, dunno. But then I don’t know enough about Lightforged, are they Draenei +? I mean is a Lightforged -better- than a Vindicator? is that not a bit…rubbish? making the parent race crapper than the Allied race?
Mechagnome and Vulpera Heritage look on point. Shandris type gear would be awesome for Nelves, Goblin looks cool-ish. Worgen is very Marmite…
It’s one of those things that Mad Jack Churchill would do, with top hat and sword rushing into battle.
I had of course, forgotten about Mad Jack Churchill. I would not have been surprised if he had gone onto the Normandy Beaches, Skyclad, with blue woad, limed hair and a claymore…
I would prefer less britishness and more beastmanliness in my werewolves personnaly.
In all honestly, we would have gotten that, if we were
a Horde race. But no, we’re Alliance so we now have to be discount humans.
Yeah, I don’t main worgens but my guess would be that most who do were more interested in the worgen form than in the human one.
Pretty much, we certainly don’t play Worgen for the racials, nor the druid forms, both are disappointing and replicated better on other races.
If we wanted to be humans, we would role humans. But we didn’t, we want to be Worgen, not humans.
There should have never been an option to turn human, RPers be damned.
Yeah I often get flak when I talk of faction imbalance but seeing this armor and the quest to get it, an inconsequential dream where you are told you are all about your humanity and the worgen curse is just a temporary anomaly in gilneas history confirm me in my feelings that blizz stopped caring about the alliance long ago. How can you be this out of touch ?
Only issue i have with it is that the gold is too shiny compared to previous Gilnean designs.
Oh and the quest line is disappointing…
It has felt like this since Cata when the Alliance lost a large chunk of their zones to the Horde and it has just been dripping every stable.
There are countless numbers of fan designs which are better but Blizzard are too prideful to change anything. It honestly feels like we have the cheapest heritage, especially after they knocked it out of the park with the belf and Tauren.
Even on the Alliance we cannot escape Nath’s snark.
Unsub then? I mean you are playing an mmoRPg, and complaining about the RP element?
The whole -gig- of the Worgen is that they are Werewolves. The whole point of Werewolves is, as the name suggests from old English, they are ‘Were’ as in ‘Men’ and ‘Wolves’ (Which hasn’t really changed in pronunciation, only spelling)
I mean that -is- their thing. It may even be why they made Gilneas kind of British, as whilst other nations have Lycanthrope myths, they were largely shared by the Scandinavian and British Islands culture.
To have them constantly stuck in the Worgen form would be to completely ignore what it is that makes the Werewolf an enduring feature of mythology, and to a certain extent of human psychology.
Worgen stuck in Worgen form would just be another beastman race. Also one which the Alliance would have no reason to take into their ranks. I mean the only reason the Worgen are in the Alliance is because the Kaldorei felt kind of guilty about creating the Worgen curse in the first place. Know who else was in the same situation as the Gilneans? Quel’thalas, and Arathor/Strom. All three were neutral nations. The Alliance attacked one, ignored the other (who to be fair were ignoring them) and somehow went on zealous crusades to liberate the other, despite them not being Alliance.
Gilneas makes sense as what it is, the Worgen curse adds something to the nation, precisely -because- they are an otherwise very formal, genteel and sophisticated nation.
They add an element of “What is Human” to the Alliance, in a way that, cool though they are, Kul Tirans do not. (The irony being that Worgen in human form look human, Kul Tirans do -not- look human, unless Stormwind Humans are smaller than the rest of the race, like Darkspear Trolls are with other Trolls. Given that Gilneans and Stormwind Humans, and Strom Humans all look the same, it is clearly Kul Tiras that has freakshow humans).
Do you mean the Expansion where they actually balanced the number of zones each Faction held? Such unfairness to the Alliance, making them have the same number of zones as the Horde…Although take heart, with the Alliance winning the Fourth War, they now have more zones than the Horde do. I mean the Alliance winning the War and having more zones is probably some example of Horde Bias somewhere down the line, these things generally are, but to say they lost a ‘large chunk’ of their zones is not only incorrect, but also suggests that maybe, just maybe they had too many in comparison to begin with?
Fan designs always are. I mean that sincerely. Fan designs always are. Check out the ideas people have for High Elves. They’re awesome. They are what Blood Elves should look like. Slightly Woodlandish, with braids, and warpaint? Yeah, that’s the Blood Elves.
Heritage Armour is a tricky one. Blood Elf? They nailed it, everything above the belt. below the belt it is garbage. Gnomes? Absolutely -NAILED- it, I mean, it is a weird set for casters, but as a race, it is perfect. Tauren, Again, absolutely aced it. It is perfect. Some people complain about the headdress, saying that the feathers thing is only for chieftains…Yeah, they need to actually read up on the culture Tauren are based upon. A Full War Bonnet like Baine wears is for a Chieftain, wearing Eagle feathers as a headdress is for anyone who has earned it.
The Dwarf one is brilliant, although very Bronzebeard-centric, but fair enough, the Dark Irons have their own, and the Wildhammer thing is really tattoos, which are coming, so that’s the Dwarves sorted.
I will agree though. Gilnean Heritage armour should be just that. -Heritage- Armour. Their Heritage is not being Werewolves. It is being Gilnean.
The soldiers we see (as opposed to the militia) in Gilneas during the Starting race quests have a distinct look. Genn has a distinct look. That is what they should have looked to. Black and Gold were never Gilnean colours. I mean every other culture where there is a cultural imperative towards a colour/colours (Gnomes, Blood Elves, Mag’har, Void Elves, Lightforged, Zandalari, Kul Tiran) has been accommodated, whereas Gilneas suddenly has two colours not part of their heraldry thrust upon them! (Yes, I know there is some gold on the Gilneas Flag, but it is hardly the predominant feature).
Gilneas should have had Kul Tiran style Heritage armour, they deserved it more than Kul Tirans (and bizarrely for Werewolves make more sense than Kul Tirans). Genn looks Gilnean. -Some- elements of the Gilnean Heritage armour look Gilnean. The Shirt and cuffs thing is nice, the rose on the lapel is nice, some of it is ridiculous.
In fact…I know what it is that annoys me. And yes, I am a Brit.
It is the Top Hat.
Gilneans should totally have Top Hats, but as -Heritage Armour-? Umm…no.
After having it mogged for a while now, I kinda like it, just remove the shoulders and it looks WAAAAAAAAAY better.
