So guys lately I have been having a lot of fun rp as different npcs/transmogs when leveling my alts thanks to the mount Reins of the Grand Expedition Yak which allows you to transmog anywhere you want so you can always keep the transmog you like when leveling.
A little of topic but I do not like that you cant transmog a set or anything in wow unless you visit stormwind all the time or ogrimmar for horde (since you will get new gear when leveling). All these wonderful sets just get wasted in my opinion since you cannot use it except on a fully good geared max level character which in my opinion ruins the purpose of rp (unless you want to teleport to a major city all the time). But the solution to this was the mount which costed 120 000 goldâŚ
Anyway I am also writing this to give you guys some inpiration if you ever feel bored when playing wow, for example I use a set that I like for my paladin who is fighting his campagin in northrend to stop the lich king, absolutly breathtaking set! With the immersion addon, this is a perfect way to play wow if you ever find yourself bored, just look a set you like and bam start enjoy looking at your character. But you need the yak mount to be able to keep the transmog/mogs from lvl 10-70.
Furthermore, I have always wanted to try a worgen rp and I love this set for them (the first time I encounterd them when playing as forsaken in silverpine forest) Worgen renegade
There is one problem though⌠this set is a mail so only hunters and shamans can use it. The thing is, I dont want to play a worgen hunter, I much more like to fit into the fantasy of the worgen and play with fist weapons (like claws or just bare hands) and rouge is the only class that fits a worgen perfectly in my opinion. Does anyone here know if this set is available for rouges? or maybe something similar can be created using different gear?
I always have my Yak on each and every characterâs button bar. Although I also have the transmog NPC toy, but that has a 10 min duration⌠And sometimes I like to take my time trying on pretty dresses!
Anyway, yes⌠I always keep my gear transmogged, even when leveling and gaining new stuff regularly.
All we need now is a mount with a barber, so I can do those kinds of changes on-the-go as well.
If you look up the set on WoWhead, it has a tab with âshares a look withâ. You can check there if thereâs a leather version, but I doubt there is one.
OMG now that I have the mount, I have exaclty the same, this discovery for me feels like finding the holy grail or something. Damn so many missed opportunities bcs I did not have the mount before and just leveled looking ugly and very difficult to get into rp. I wanted to experience the BC expansion with a fresh vindicator from the exodar and I got bored pretty quickly since MY draenei did not look anything like a vindicator until I bought the mount⌠so many lost playthroughs.
I have mostly tried the classes that I always wanted to try but with a boring looking character since I did not have the mount/this idea before, oh well I guess I can just do it again, with the right mog in mind I am sure the experience will be different.
I could unfortantly not find this, I think it is because this is not really a set, just pieces that you can collect that fit well together, I just click on the outfit button and there it shows what the npcs is wearing, I can collect everything, its not to much of a problem, just that its mailâŚ

There you can see the other pieces that use that look. So if thereâs a leather version; it should be in there.
yeah, itâs rare that there are the same model on different armour types but it does happen. I checked this a few times and only found what I was hoping for once or twice but still worth a look-see.
Itâs more common that youâll get a sword that looks like a dagger or 1h sword looks like a 2h sword. Even these are rare enough.
I do think that free-for-all mogging will come eventually. Itâs one of their last break-glass-in-case-of-emergency options.
I could not find any leather version of it unfortantly, but shouldnt there be a gilneas set or maybe gilnean guards wearing a specific set?
If you know anything about it, let me know because there are so many gilnean units/npcs in the game, I believe guards too but I cant find sets for them, a gilneas themed set would be awesome
There is Worgen heritage armour, you need a level 50 Worgen (any class) and then youâll get a short quest line to unlock this. I have done it but I canât remember what itâs called (google will tell you).
Also if you look up an NPC from the game on Wowhead it will have a tab that shows what theyâre wearing so you can find them in game.
So find a Gilnean guard or similar and look them up on Wowhead.
I know about the heritage armor, I guess it is gilneas themed but it is not anything battle-themed in my opinion, I dont think it looks good either on a worgen but that is just my opinion
Regarding wowhead, yes I know about the outfit tab so you can see what the npcs are wearing, in the legion expansion, there is a gilnean assault on the forsaken led by greymane in stormheim, which was really cool and there are a lot of gilnean npcs, I looked one up and I liked it, it is gilnean infiltrator . To my disappointment, the outfit is not there, only the wrist . The same with the gilnean sabutaour. I just cant believe that this armor is not in the game, the shoulders looks very familier, I believe it is in the game, anyway if you know about this set, feel free to tell me.
Thereâs one more thing you could do and that is to check the collections tab in the game. There you can find all the appearances that are available to your character; collected and uncollected.
Itâs a bit of a hassle, but at this point it might be the only way to see if parts of that set exist as player drops.
Iâve heard of an AddOn that makes this better, I believe itâs called Better Wardrobe or something similar. Not tried it myself but I believe it has a more organised set of collections.
Iâve used that for quite a while, but itâs an addon thatâs given me more errors than any other; it blocks certain interactions within the game and thatâs highly irritating, so Iâve stopped using it.
It does seem like something the game should do inately. They do it for Raid and PVP sets and a few others. But they could add in more categories and structure it a little better.
This is the kind of system they could have been using their resources on over the last 10 years instead of Essenses and Conduits and Runecarver Memories and other throw-away systems.
There are some changes/improvements to it in TWW (because of the Warband system), but I havenât really looked into it. Maybe some of what youâre talking about is part of that?
