Worgen/Goblin monk

If almost every races can be Monk, why can’t Worgen and Goblins?

Blizzard can easily add this if they wanted to. In Cataclysm many classes were added to playable races.

In WOD, Gnome hunters was added.

So yeah. Pleeeease add Monk to these races.

It was Legion.

But yes, the reason they weren’t added before, was because their starting zones were instanced and it wouldn’t have made sense lorewise.
However, now that exiles reach is a thing, it is just because they either don’t want to, or are too lazy to.

Many class/race combos don’t make sense lorewise. I mean how did Druidism reached the human gilneans before the introduction of the Night elves to the Gilneans.

But personally I think a Worgen monk makes more sense than a Zandalari Monk. The Zandalari and Pandarens hated each other, until recently when they joined the Horde.

If I recall it right Gilneans practised rituals associated with harvests. I think they were called Harvest witches or something like that. It is something similar tauren had, using basic rituals and spells that were reminiscent to druidism before Cenarius begin teaching the first of the night elves proper druidism.

For me worgen monks make way more sense than Zandalari or even Nightborne monks. I guess Blizzard just does not want to take the extra effort to alter the worgen starting area to add a monk trainer.

Humans had some basic druidic and shamanistic beliefs and rituals before they discovered the Light and later taught the Arcane by the elves. While most of the human Kingdoms abandoned the old ways, the Gilneans retained druidism in the form of Harvest witches.
The Kultirans, who came from the Gilneans retained druidism as well, but thanks to the Study druids they became Thor speakers. Due to the nature of their nation, they adapted a form of shamanism as well.

Worgen monk ?
like who gonna play that ?

  • Horrible animation
  • already got soo much mobility
  • Racial not good for monk
  • Worgen from is not a form to tank without a shield.

Better to adds option to hide weapon for Rogue and Warrior in my opinion and you gonna see the number of worgen rising.

Worgen DKs do not use a shield though.

bone shield ?

Goblin monks make 0 sense. They like blowing things up why would they be a class that meditates

That isn’t a proper shield however.

I would personally welcome worgen monks with open arms.

I WOULD!!!

And Undead Monks do? Exactly my point

Druidism was not invented by night elves. Druidism as an art (using nature magic deriving from the plant and animal kingdoms) originates from Wild Gods. Ancient Gilneans practiced nature worship and it’s entirely possible they worshipped a wild god whilst doing so and cultivated some form of Druidism. Ancient Tauren did the same (before Cenarius refined their practice) and trolls have been able to be druids since time immemorial due to their association with wild gods.

Night elves are simply the most notorious practitioners of Druidism, but not the only ones nor the inventors of it.

Same goes for arcane arts. Zandalari wielded the arcane before night elves existed. We know this because accounts of the eventual conflict between the two are described as the elves having a superior grasp on the arcane magic, which implies Zandalari possessed it.

Also the encounter between the high elves and forest trolls (plus Zandalari reinforcements) in Quelthalas was largely concluded in the favour of the elves not only due to elves teaching humans how to wield magic, but the elves coopting and augmenting Zandalari voodoo and arcane magic so they could counter the Zandalaris own magic more effectively.

The real question is how did trolls came to it all, because as far as I’m concerned they appear to be the first mortal beings to wield nature, arcane and in all probability light and shadow magic. Zandalari have the telltale sign of glowing eyes set as a blue as well, so clearly some natural arcane affinity is there.

EDIT Azerothian races I mean. Eredar are oldest known magic wielders outside of titans as far as I’m aware.

Undead can be still as the dead. I imagine meditation works for them.

Still hoping for worgen paladins myself…

I ain’t touching the available paladin races with someone else’s 10-foot pole

Tons of people. Especially since windwalkers sort of… use their fists a lot and it makes sense for Worgen to be better by using their claws, etc.

Brewmaster monks already don’t use shields. DHs either… DKs either, bone shield is only been a ‘sometimes’ thing for tanks since often it’s a talent and originally was an UNHOLY talent.

It wasn’t lore, it was laziness to add trainers in multiple spots, because they did added trainers in all of the other starting areas even though some of these are stuck in Burning Crusade, are these just traveling Pandaren like Chen? I like to think that way.

Doesn’t help class trainers are mostly useless nowadays and you don’t ever have a reason to talk to them.

Also, how can Worgen and Goblins be Death Knights if the events of Wrath happened before the time the starting zones happened? For me it never made sense they could be Death Knights but not Monks.

Now they don’t have an excuse, because apparently Elves who got stuck inside a dome for 10.000 completely isolated from the rest of the World and Orcs from another dimension could learn to be Monks in a few months while Worgen and Goblins that are part of their factions for years cannot…

It’s laziness, Nightborne, Mag’har Orcs, Highmountain Tauren, Mechagnomes, Vulpera, all of these races lorewise only had contact with the Pandaren very recently, but all of them can be Monks, while Worgen and Goblins can’t, it doesn’t make sense.

If I recall it right Worgen Death knights are not from Gilneas, but rather they are the worgen that were created by Arugal (I think that was his name.) Goblins are easy to explain since they were around since Vanilla.

In monk fantasy, violence by bleeding is not a thing.
You fight with your own hand to defend yourself, not to kill and bleed.

Where the fantasy of claw and thing can be warrior , mostly fury worgen. We can get outlaw rogue too that combine well.

Remember a monk is not in the mentallity to use fist to kill , but to beat an ennemy to defeat. They do not seek Bloodshred due to the rage of goldrinn.

What i mean is they don’t relly 100% to their boddy.
And that would be weird for a bloodthirsty worgen to do not have access to a class based on blood.

Yes that, but in details arugal converted his cult of the wolf to worgen and the populace in gizzily hills in worgen, to then give them to the scourge to be death knight

( Arugal ressucited by the scourge in WOLTK by the 3 elf of the scourge. )
