Those are the weekly zone quest like theater and spreading the light.

World activities such as the Theatre troupe, the machine thingy etc. Maybe explain what objective you are trying to do, you are a bit vague with your comment.

It likely means the ones covered by bicyclepump above, and maybe any of those other weeklies that award a cache? And also completing those special assignments from each zone that are active after you’ve completed 3 WQs.
The same row of “World” activities for the Vault also includes Delves, which is a bizarre piece of gaslighting, since Delves are instanced content, not World content.
As I recall, the big quests in each zone, like the Special Assignments and Spreading the Light in Hallowfall, get you Vault rewards of Veteran track, 584 ilevel, whereas with Tier 8 Delves, the ilevel goes up to 616.

Not really Gaslighting when The “World” track was always stated to include Delves right from the announcment.
No, I think it’s a fair description.
If anything, “gaslighting” is being overly charitable. What they are … influencing? … pressuring? … us to do is call one thing another thing, and that kind of pressure on speech has a very dark history.
