World Boss one shot... totem exploit?

Strunraan down in like 7 seconds… Millions of dps… All because of a world quest interactable totem that spawns just next to the boss.

The totem buff lighting strikes for %hp damage so the boss gets annihilated and I’m pretty sure this is an oversight, unless it’s meant to reward creative people who use nearby objects to fight the boss, but I somehow doubt it.

Anyway, I thought I’d bring it to the attention of someone. It’s probably been reported already, but I have no idea where to do that so…

Not the problem of the players if you ask me.

Bug/Oversight? Seems obvious. But does it matter with world bosses with bloated hp pools and whose mechanics are at the peak of boredom? Hardly

i think they buffed the drop rate aswell, in 3-4 weeks ive gotten 1 drop on 4 chars.
Today i got 3 trinkets with 4 chars.

It absolutely does not matter as far as I’m concerned. It’s just Blizzard sometimes gets a little zealous with banning people who find “creative” uses for game mechanics. I wouldn’t mind doing this on each of my characters, as long as it didn’t get me banned.

Bans for something like this would be way over the top and you can expect that not to happen for multiple reasons, one being that many players who do it simply didn’t know it would work this way and many might have done it by accident.

The question is whether Blizzard cares enough to fix it because world bosses are sandbags that are killed once a week per character and them being a little bit more easy or difficult really doesn’t matter much

Why would they ban anyone for killing the world boss with this? They’re not particularly difficult in the first place.
