It is such a weird bug. and it is shocking that it is still not fixed for 2 weeks.
I didnt get anything either, but I wasnt in a group - and since I only have 3 max levels, and I’ve only tried once this reset.
Still bugged this week.
My advice - skip this junk. Can’t avoid ANY damage, it’s possibly the worst world boss encounter ever.
Players will for sure skip this junk, if it never drops any gear loot.
Nobody is gonna do that for just few wildercloth and 20g everytime.
One of my co workers got a drop, but I have not seen any either. Heck, there are barely anyone who wants to kill them either.
The only epic drop from the world boss is the profession skill tome. That is probably what your coworker got.

I’ve only killed them twice. Last week which was my first time i got epic legs Gholna’s Lavaborne Legwraps. Nothing this week though.
I got the plate waist on one of my chars.
Ok, then the boss drops gear loot, but it seems to be extremely low chance.

The ingame journal shows the gear drops, but it’s a very small loot table and yeah I’m guessing a very low chance too.
it does drop . last reset i got loot on like 5 alts in a row.
rng is rng thats all .
Rng has been pretty bad for me lately… I prefer to see the reward upfront and know if it is good or bad instead of getting my hopes up every time.
Also haven’t seen any loot from the Elders, non in the raid group either.
He said it was a 420 or 421 item, but I gave no idea really.
People will just stop doing this content if the drop rate is really this low.
Ive never seen anything drop either for either week on several alts, and I dont care if nothing drops for me…
if I dont see anything drop for anybody else in the raid then why would I waste my time?

also have run this on several alts on a EU server - no real loot for anyone in the 40 man (sorry, person) raids - definately bugged in EU

Then you must have some extreme RNG luck.
I have done the world boss on many alts on both weeks, and I haven’t seen a single gear piece for anyone in the raids.
And none of my guildies see any loot.
