I did the boss yesterday and me and at least half of the raid could not click for loot, while it had the glow that indicates that it can, in fact be looted.
So we all basically just wasted our time, because we couldnt get the reward.
Multi-Dollar company for sure.

well i was surpised thats for sure. thing is i did it on 13 char so some were bound to have somethign drop

I’ve killed the Elders on 4 characters this week and no one in either raids got any loot at all. That’s effectively 160 attempts with no loot. Don’t think that is just bad luck. But i have seen people with gear from the Elders, so it’s not like they don’t drop loot at all.
Most likely some weird and obscure issue that causes people to not be eligible for loot despite getting credit for the kill.
It was the same last week. I have never seen anyone got any gear in my raids.
Definitely extremely weird.

It has been 2 weeks since I made this topic.
It is surprising that not more people are discussing this, nor Blizzard gives any explanation.
I’ve done this fight twice and both times, even though we killed both bosses, we were only credited for killing one of them. So no loot, no rep, and no WQ reward.
I’m not wasting my time on this until it gets fixed.
Honestly, I think most ppl have just given up caring… like me. The chance to get something from the worldbosses was always low ever since SL, there it made at least sence to do them for the nice 500 anima, DF worldbosses are just a waste of time.
I assume they still dont drop anything for eu players?
It’s so hard to tell tbh. Loot is so sparse from World Bosses. I honestly don’t know if it’s bugged or just the usual bad drop rate.
But with any other world boss there has always been at least a few people in the raid that got loot. Killed it twice on 2 characters now. That is 160 times no loot. This can’t be just bad luck.
I’ve seen the same complaint on the US forums, tho a few chimed in saying they did get loot. So it doesn’t seem to be an EU bug.
i was thinking about it and im not convinced its a bug still
want other example - researchers event when done in raid group - you see spam of coins but you dont see spam of gear dropping for people even though everyone gets 1 piece guaranteed.
this makes me think they may be testing to just not let others see loot which cannot be traded anyway so nobody whispers “can you trade”
but i may be wrong.
like i said earlier - last week i literaly got 5 pieces in row on 5 alts. then nothing . this week i still have 9 alts to kill world boss to check it out but just didnt have time yet for it just finishing researchers first and fyraks then 
That’s possible yeah I think, because iirc someone in that thread pointed out getting loot but others not seeing the loot message. Could be an oversight, could be intended like you speculated.
Must admit I haven’t seen any loot yet.
But on the other hand, I still haven’t got a single loot from the world boss in the whole DF.

I have done the world boss every week since the new patch, on 8 chars.
I have never seen a gear loot drop for anyone in any of my raids. And none of my guild mates saw any gear loot either.
I can’t speak for anyone, since someone in the thread said they did get loot. But personally I have never seen it.
As people have pointed out, WB drop has always been RNG and rare, but there was ALWAYS gear loot for at least 1 person in the raid. But I have never seen any from this world boss, that is why I think it is bugged.
It is definitely NOT usual, compared to any world boss from any expansions before.
Blizzard shall give an explanation on this. Is it intended or just bugged?
